CRPGs To Try After Baldur's Gate 3

Anyone here played Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura?
Loved the worls in that one, though the mechanics were a bit clunky with the real time/turn based split.

The gameplay for Dragon Age Inquisition is terrible, but the companions and dialogue writing are markedly improved from Dragon Age Origins. I tried to play DAO for the first time after BG3 and holy shit does it feel dated 😂 I know it’s supposed to have excellent role playing elements though

Sad part is I already played 80% of them, and the rest I don t like, not because they are bad or anything like that, just not my taste

Dragon Age Origins is the closeset thing to BG3, it doesn't have the same interactive type of gameplay, but in terms of role-playing and story, for me personally, it easily tops BG3, just because the Origin system in that game is just so much better, basically all the Origins are like Durge, your character is completely customizable, but he still has a unique backstory based on his race and class which makes him not just a blank slate nobody, but a part of a group, you have friends, family and enemies, you know people in the world, you are a part of it and it's awesome.

Man I'm so glad you mentioned Tyranny...that is the most underrated CRPG...I absolutely love it. Playing an evil member of a world conqueror's hierarchy is just so different from the traditional story line...And they actually made being the good guy fun...I always enjoy playing the evil or anti-hero role as opposed to the knight in shining armor, because it just seems more interesting. But in Tyranny, they flip the script and playing the rebel or "good" guy just feels so satisfying. Great video man...keep up the good work.

The inquisition hate hurts my soul but I get it lol, but in hindsight the game doesn't compare to origins 😂
