Thank you very much.
I broke my foot 2 weeks ago.
Google is listening because you came up in my feed.
Most of those I can look at and figure out what won't work for me at my location, etc. I've seen people using some of the newer methods. Many are limited, as you've demonstrated.
Many depend on the fitness and agility of the person as well.
I know you always dreamed of being a pirate with the last one.
Get an eye patch, and you're ready for Halloween.
That knee scooter is not a good move in New York. I'm afraid I'd break something else using it.
ОтветитьThat's it!
You're cut off!
Kicking that laundry basket around with a crutch.😅 LMAO.
Everything you said is 100% correct. I ruptured my Achilles on September 18th. I’m still non- weight bearing, I knew I didn’t want crutches so I got the knee scooter. After about a month of that the hopping around to get to the tighter areas was a no-go. I bought the iwalk today and it is a much better option. For me not a long term thing because when I get out of it my knee feels so tight. So around the house on the 1st floor I’m scooting around. Also if someone does only have a knee scooter invest in a gel pad it will make the ride way more comfortable over time. Also with the iwalk ensure you lift your leg up deliberately because the vibrant sole works very well and it will stick to the floor if it’s dragged. You will not slip at all, but you can trip yourself up.
ОтветитьThe Iwalk doesn't work for overweight people. Made me fall multiple times.
ОтветитьI love my I walk 3.0
ОтветитьBroke my ankle 3+ months ago (real nasty trimalleolar fracture) and I’ve been using a walker. I do stairs sitting down, and on the whole, the walker’s been great. I got a cloth tray thing that goes over the top, which allows me to take whatever I need to other rooms, including plates of food. Neither the knee scooter nor the fancy fake leg would work for me, because I had external fixation on my leg (read: metal rods through my knee and my heel) for a couple of weeks. My knee is not happy. So, just putting this here to let folks know that a walker is also an option!
ОтветитьJust dropping in to praise the iWalk. I blew out my Achilles and this made the first few weeks a breeze to get through. It was amazing to feel like my day to day life was hardly impacted, al-tho slower, thanks to that crutch.
ОтветитьThe form farm cruches are the most common you get in the uk you like never get the airpit ones her
ОтветитьI injured my ankle two weeks ago and I'll be getting it checked out on Friday. I'm scared it might be fractured so I found this video very helpful!
ОтветитьMy doc advised me not to use the iWalk, as it puts pressure on the shin. I have a pilon fracture of the tibia and a syndesmosis injury (high ankle sprain). No surgery, just boot. Keep that in mind if you have a similar condition. And clear everything with your doc in general.
Thanks for the video! The iWalk is genius, shame I can't use it for now.
Overall the knee scooter is superior to all, but I flew over the handlebars from a deep line in the sidewalk today. Be careful ya'll.
ОтветитьI got the iwalk and it kept my hip and leg active and strong. Helping me recover faster! Its also very convenient to be more movable. I cant recommend it enough! I even traveled by myself successfully.
ОтветитьWhat brand was that knee skooter. Mine was from walmart was available same day , broke my foot could not wait. Got it, and the pad was hard as a rick for my ,67 year old knee reolacements that didnt turn out good.
ОтветитьHow do you use the restroom with any of these options without putting weight on the no n weight bearing foot? Also showering. Im really concerned about that
ОтветитьThank you for the review. After three of post-surgery recovery, I think the combination of traditional crutches and the iWalk is the best combination. For short trips in the house to the bathroom, diner table, or favorite chair I use crutches. For nearly everything else I like the mobility and hands-free aspect of the iWalk.
ОтветитьI just got my cast off after 5 weeks bon weight bearing for 3 fractures in my right foot and a sprained ankle. I was looking up PT exercises and came across this video. I randomly tried all these except for the crutches that go around the forearms. I found the underarm crutches hard for me. I lost my balance, bulky, can’t get around my small apartment, etc. But I had searched scooter on Amazon and the iwalk was advertised and I bought that right away. I didn’t know how much I appreciated it until I used a scooter on a work trip (great for a hotel, speed, and big areas, but not for my small apartment either). The I-walk has been a lifesaver for me and I was able to do chores and get around. Thank you to whoever designed it!! It is a little heavy so maybe not right for everyone, but my body totally adjusted to any discomfort I had initially (where the strap was and also where my cast hit my shin bone on the padded part)… after a day or so no discomfort. Also, the straps are very easy to get on an off for quick trips to the bathroom etc. Haha
ОтветитьI also had fifth metatersal minor fracture on 26th Aug, 2023. I started walking little bit after 15 days and started going to ofc after 17 days. Doctor has put cast for a month. I am taking full care and walking little bit. How to know my recovery is going good?
