I've told people that wouldnt be a good idea to buff Paul.
Also, they are really huffing King in every patch, there has to be a King main on the balancing team, no point in fighting this character anymore.

the word broken is so meaningless these days,as soon as they buff a character people call them broken! isn't Leroy supposed to be broken last patch, isn't he supposed to be everywhere and dominating tournaments then where is he or it was just twitter saying he is

Fujin Hwo player here. Am I the only Hwo player who’s not freaking out right now? Like everyone I’ve seen is overreacting to these nerfs like it’s the end of the character. I think the df3,4 nerf moving from -12 to -14 is unnecessary but it shouldn’t be a massive issue if you use your armor smartly. The d3,4 nerf honestly is more of correcting unintended behavior rather than a nerf. If they block d3 (unreactable) then it was a great read, they deserve a launch punish. Hwo has been a low-mid tier character at high ranks this entire time and that hasn’t changed. This patch should be cause for celebration from the entire community. But, I also have a Fujin Kuma who has avoided any changes this whole time which is hype and then my 3rd character was Paul… Paul is IMO the most fun to play character in the game but has been pretty low tier in T8. Now he’s arguably a top 10, I’ll probably get Paul to Fujin before I hop back on Hwo.

as a leroy player, the frame change after db2,1+2 sucks, he had pretty good oki after that setup and wont anymore. the cane change is great cause losing a once per fight move cause u got jabbed absolutely sucked.

Paul is perfectly balanced... U need absolute defence and character knowledge to play Paul..

The funny part about Reina's nerfs... I never really noticed the nerfs given how I play her. It mainly deals with the Raiden spam really. And how people didn't like the rolling kicks. I still play Reina how I do and still can do ok. But will say... Paul playing like a Steve is scary. And Steve is really good. Honestly considering picking Steve and Asuka up (still plan to main Lidia and Reina anyway but those two could be fun i feel). Maybe try Paul out again.

So I think Hwo is still very usable. I main him to and after playing it for a day you only see the nerf every now and then.

Nobody coments how they are nerfing Law every update, his string are short an usually dont change hight to low or viceversa, if you dont respect law ayou can pi terrupt him like 75% time, law oki is just bad now,his comvos are jdameg are just mid compared to the rest of the cast, his pressure is bad, is very hard to apply and now is even hardet, considering that law is an offensive character that apllyes pressure is like what should i do with him, bad keepout, hard to get close, easy string, mid strimg is slow and lauch punish. Law is eating bad .

To be fair with the pimp cane you can only use it once per set so it was much less unforgiving than heat engagers and things of that nature.

I'm not a Leroy user, But I will say that I think that is a good change to his Cane. When compared to Heat Smash, the cane can only be used once in a match. Heat Smash can be used once every single round so that's a minimum of 3 times and up to 5 times.

I dont understand the hwo arguement having weak results arguement when they hate on kazuya mains when they have worse results.

I feel like the only way to make hwo better is to make him much more difficult at the sMe time so scrubs dont get the character nerfed repeatedly

Loving the Azucena changes, glad she has more juggle/combo variety. Her neutral still isn’t that great but it’s easier to get into stance mixups now.

Why is the d34 nerf so bad when all that changed is Steve being able to launch it? If you’re saying you could already get a ws launcher before, what really changed?

I'm on a crusade to spread awareness of Jin nerfs lmao. Basically ff2 nerfs touched his entire kit. It was crucial to his combos so 20% of his max dmg bnb's no longer work. Other part is that hellsweep oki now doesn't work on 6 characters, while everyone else requires different precise ff2 timings. He's still strong but people are kinda downplaying the nerfs right now

Of course they nerf law even more when he’s already struggling to keep up. Meanwhile, Hwoarang is the most broken in terms of start up frames and stance resets. Law’s damage is a joke and judging by the way his character story is always written, they need to just take him out of any future games

Worst patch

I think Paul is in a great spot. In a game where everyone has crazy in your face offense, strings, and gimmicks Paul rewards you for being patient and having good defense. If you let Paul destroy your health bar with 2 reads you were predictable.

Lee's heat burst had the 2nd worst range before so it's probably just in line with the other character's now tbh. i haven't checked haha but i definitely felt the difference when playing other characters
