School does not help with every career which is disappointing. It helps mostly with academic careers. If you wanted to be an artist, chef or musician you are going to need to go a different pathway then academics most of the time.

Dude attended some slam poetry nights in college. Guarantee my kids teachers aren’t losing sleep over the kids at night. Different perspective when you see teachers illegally striking, forcing masks on your crying child, lecturing them on how much time they (the kids) take of the teachers weekends with their papers that need grading, whining to students about not enough family time or not enough pay.... yeah, teachers aren’t losing sleep over the kids where I live. If they bother to show up at all, they just read their district prepared lessons and farm those kids on through. Good try at a motivational video I guess. But why throw in the teachers losing sleep part? Guilting the kids? Parents know that shit ain’t true.

I'm a high school teacher. It's true. I really do care about my students. I care so much about them that I will never show them this.

These indoctrinated young teachers were made to fulfill their lame professors inadequacies and now they're passing it down to an even younger generation whom I pray that their God given innocence and caring parents will kick it to the gutter where it belongs. I took it for granted. I could simply say that I made the wrong friends and had no motivation from peers to do better. But truth is i was just a terrible student , never studied a day before college .Finished HS with a 3.0 by doing the bare minimum. I took control now I’m in my 3rd year of University studying engineering. Left my HS. Friends behind cause I didn’t want to let the cycle of working paycheck to paycheck to continue.
