My auntie married a US airmen and lived on the base town in Suffolk… driving 2 hrs in a car and everyone and everything is American suddenly was amazing for me as child… allegedly he let some kid I know sit in a F14 once! I hear he had a decent time doing it… 😂🤫Looool… one downside though my uncle made me a bears fan which was ok in 1985 but slowly dawned on me as the years went on he had sold me a dud team for life!… probably lucky he wasn’t from Cleveland or ot would be even worse! he should be prosecuted not for the f14 incident .. but for giving me Mitch Trubiisky 😂😂😂💙
ОтветитьIf they made this so meny yesrs ago what have they got In secret that no one else knows about😉👍 they made this in the 60s now it’s 59 odd years latter
ОтветитьAt the era of zero computer technology was designed and it can flew at speed of 3500 kilometres per hour
Ответить8 Kill Streak.
"SR-71 ready for launch" 😊😊
Mmmm...Why not Northrop Aircraft
ОтветитьVERY IMPORTANT NEWS,,THAT IF DONALD TRUMP WAS A PRESIDENT IN THIS ERA - HE WOULD RELEASE ANY SECRETS TO HIS SOCIAL PARTY ATTENDEES.
Ответитьno loss of respect to mr weaver..you remind me of the character on the movie ANTZ..the crazy general..
ОтветитьThis was a great video. Thank you to the men and women who made this plane possible. God bless America!
ОтветитьOk, it's a cool aircraft. But where is it on semptember 11?
Ответитьi grew up at beale. my dad was a mech on the sr. watching the sled take off and return never got old. i was very lucky, for my 13 birthday my dad took me to work with him. i climbed all over and in that beautiful lady. i currently live about 5 miles from beale and occasionally see the U2. greatest plane ever, the sr that is.
ОтветитьWhy do people say it was Steath it was just flew to high and fast to catch it
Ответить😊😊llookkil?
ОтветитьThink This Plane Was Created Without The Help Of Another Race ? B2 Bomber ? Look Up What "ARV" Stands For. Just Sayin'.
ОтветитьGosh, can you IMAGINE falling from the edge of space like that??? I thought I'd known terror... but no. Not on that level. Words fail me.
ОтветитьHazing the new guy by tossing a cigarette into the pool of leaking fuel. 😆 I love it. That would be me in that job.
Ответить"You seem to know a lot about this."
"Do you even READ my Christmas lists??!!!"
From the first flight of the wright bros in 1903 to the moon landing in 1969 was only 66 years... that's about how long it's been since the sr-71 was made. I wonder what absolute insane progress we've made but just have no clue about.
ОтветитьSo Great are the USA talented and smart people.
ОтветитьI lived on Okinawa from 1970 to1973 ,near Kadena Airbase , I remember seeing SR71s we called them Habus which were a poisonous snake on Okinawa .I dont know who gave it that nickname but it stuck.
ОтветитьThe Farnborough air display radar picked it up 30 miles away, apparently the radar reflective paint was 'damaged'. There was some tittering from the crowd.
ОтветитьAltitude is measured in feet not metres. I wish so many documentaries wouldn't make this mistake.
ОтветитьBest cover your ears
ОтветитьThe difference between the Concord and the SR-71 is the altitude and the quality of the food. Both beautiful aircraft.
Ответитьthis badass plane needs a Hollywood movie
Ответить"using air breathing engines" fine print here
ОтветитьSo disappointing this program has chosen to further propagate the misinformation of the "RS-71" and that Johnson switched it up. That is pure hogwash. This program even interviewed Col. Rich Graham, who clearly debunked this myth in his books, and yet they could not get it right.
ОтветитьThree times the speed of sound
ОтветитьThis my favourite plane ever every time I look at it.its like looking at a ferrari or but we'll bettet
ОтветитьI remember being in elementary school when we were on a bus for a field trip and our teacher announced we would be visiting the blackbird on our fieldtrip to Tucson. All of us who were air geeks lost it. Seeing it in person made it feel somewhat fake. All the avionics and engines were removed but still a cool site.
Ответить1986 in Vancouver British Columbia, sitting in my office I heard an unworldly howl rapidly increasing in intensity, I ran to my windows overlooking the harbor just in time to see the SR-71 screaming UNDER the Lion's Gate suspension bridge ...it flew past just above the water then shot up with both afterburners lit and disappeared in a few seconds. The next day I was attending the Abbotsford Airshow and there she was in all her glory. Parked on the apron surrounded by barriers dripping fuel from the wings. The attending Russians were just standing as close as they could get staring at what they had only heard about,. That Vancouver flypast was the single most impactful audio and visual event in my lifetime.
ОтветитьI believe I can fly this amazing machine...bravo
ОтветитьHi. How are you. My. USA. Defence.😊.
ОтветитьAll the best for the future Steve. Cannot wait for the next chapter.
ОтветитьGotta respect the Cold Warriors, the world was on the edge for a long time, innovation and technology progressed amazingly and this is what saved the world from nuclear catastrophe,
RIP you brave souls...
When enough info is released u better make a documentary on the SR 72 and make it as good or even better thn this documentary
ОтветитьAlways pulling stunts using the system to intimidate and harass whether it's law enforcement EMT FD Work it's all the same a system in vital need of overhaul. Too many like minded nuts.
ОтветитьThis plane was so secret that no one was allowed to talk about it. That was after the 1950s before
the sonic boom was an issue. People looked up to see what was new. So they just flew above the atmosphere at MACH 3. That boom would bring down a city,
It amazes me that the Blackbirds didn't disintegrate on a regular basis. They flew in unbelievably hostile conditions.
ОтветитьThere is no doubt the SR was brilliant and I love it but consider this: BA's Concorde did the trip twice daily from New York or Washington to London for 27 years in 3h:15 - 3h:30 with a record flight of 2h 57 mins and all with up to 100 passengers on board drinking champagne and having a nice lunch. No space helmets, no pooping in your suit and it super-cruised at 60,000' and Mach 2.0. Something the SR couldn't do...
I had a brilliant flight on G-BOAA in 1999 when the cockpit door was open and the pilots and Flight Engineer welcomed visitors! (And Concorde was profitable for BA for 20 years!)
So can the blackbird make the trip from LA to DC without refueling? I'm not sure it can.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI don't know where they got their facts but they're wrong on all kinds. If you watch interviews of pilots that flew this plane there absolutely wrong or multiple facts on this video. This is not a good representation of that plane or the missions that flew. The facts of it flying missions over Russia it did this video says it didn't The facts of the fuel tanks leaking that they had to be refueled instantly after flying take off is false. Not everything you see on the internet is true definitely not this channel.
ОтветитьAmazing engineering feat!
ОтветитьAnd better with speeds up & over Mack 3.
Ответить👍👍👍💯💯💯🤯🤯🤯😎😎😎😍😍😍✈️✈️✈️
ОтветитьI'd sell my soul to fly one of these...never gonna happen, but god, I'd love it
ОтветитьBeauty of a plane
ОтветитьIt was at MacDill AFB back in like 84 or 85. Also it was over Honduras in 85 while I was down there on Carrot Top tracking aircraft.
