Love your tips and content Laura!
ОтветитьI taught myself back in the 80s. Got an Ricoh SLR and went for it. No lessons, No asking people - I had one little black book for reference but I hardly opened it. Then I got a Nikon F3 and have used that ever since.. I hate digital.
ОтветитьWho knew a year of listening to Estepario Siberiano was prep for listening to your much better sounding voice. That's not a knock, the faster cadence and different syllabic stressing is something to get used to.❤👍😊
ОтветитьIt also helps to possess —or be possessed by— a degree of drive, ambition and enterprise similar to that of this lady. Buena Suerte a todos ...
ОтветитьI've learned and done most of my work on my film cameras. But as often as not when I shoot digital (street photography) I use my $150 Canon G12
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI never thought about shooting my self for practice!
Ответитьi started a year ago with a Nikon D3200 and i shoot video and photo with only a year experience. I am now learning flash... im using myself, and i post my photos and work as i learn! my social media get to see my growth.
Ответитьgreat video Laura
ОтветитьYou don't use Canon gears anymore?
Ответить😲😯
ОтветитьThanks Laura for sharing your experience with great comments... love your presentation with interesting ideas to help me improve....I am only a hobbyist but just love taking pics of whatever comes along.... cheers from Australia 🦘🦘😊❤

ОтветитьSound advice…thank you
ОтветитьBut, if I'm my own model, and terrible at makeup, I worry the end result might be catastrophic, Ma'am.
ОтветитьThis is a great video Laura - as always! Some amazing tips for sure and it's going to be super helpful for many people out there. ❤️
ОтветитьAmazing video
Well I have been doing Street Photography since 8 years and until now I use very cheap gear like Nikon D70S and Canon 100D with couple of cheap lenses for both cameras
Well between time to time I get that feeling the feel that I need to buy an expensive camera in order to evolve my work
But as you said the gear is not a reason to stop doing photography
It’s the other side of the coin that we all should look at it
In fact limited gear can grow our skills
Thank you for this amazing video
Hello Laura how are you doing today I don't know if I can get a video of you explaining more about aperture and shutter speed please 🙏❤️ ma.
ОтветитьThanks Laura! I have learned a lot!
ОтветитьLove your intro!
Ответитьthank you for inspiring your followers like me who doesn't still have the courage taking the step to begin working with for what we love in some reason as you have mentioned. i do really have that kind of experience like my cameras that i bought 5 years ago just sitting & collecting dusts on the shelve and i still don't know where to begin since i have a conflict schedules in my main job. i was also fell in the situation that we so called GAS, and time have past so very quick and all the gears that i have purchased seems obsolete now and i tried to trade it in to upgrade but sadly the value of my current gears ''seems no value at all against how much I bought it 5 years ago''.
ОтветитьHi thanks for this wonderful video 📸
ОтветитьI love this thank you 🙏🏿
ОтветитьThank you very much!Great video!
Ответитьgreat to see you out and about I hope you feel as good as you look !!🙂 Big hugs !!
ОтветитьThis video is a must save! To watch later thank You so much
ОтветитьYour videos are so inspiring to me. I would love to one day have at least a part time career. I tried long time ago but did not know where to start. Kind of put the camera down. Fell into the trap of I need better equipment. This has inspired me again to get out and shoot. Make time for it
ОтветитьGracias mil por los consejos interesantes. Ojalá que pueda poner algunos de ellos en práctica ...
ОтветитьVery good content
ОтветитьPhotography for taking photos does not require school. Just learn from someone else and practice. Same applies to video and audio.
ОтветитьThis is a great video Laura I really learnt alots from This video and so on , Great job this motivate me alots.
Ответитьbasically you've become my fav creator! this was awesome!
ОтветитьDo you have a video on lighting like studio lighting? I feel like I struggle the most when it comes to lighting in photography.
ОтветитьWow, you nailed the intro! The look and sounds is perfect.
As usual, informative, friendly and to the point. I take that as given now with your channel!
I love to just take pictures. I have a lot of gear, but it is nothing if I don't learn my camera. I need to spend more time with my camera to learn lighting and compositions. I must take photographs much more often than I do. You are a tremendous help keep doing what you are doing looking to soon become a great photographer and help other like you.
ОтветитьAwesome tips! I got started with my phone and I hit a wall with the limitations, then I purchased my first camera. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Ответитьexcellent advice your heart is in the right place just subscribed.......
ОтветитьI agree with everything! As a 22 year paid professional photographer, I want to add in by saying stop trying to knit pick up on other people settings and being stuck on facebook copy catting, making excuses why you can't. Saying what she said about the gear. You can get a $150 T3i with Mieke 50mm and get absolutely awesome shots even with the 18mp it has. Learn to close your apertures too. Most don't realize they can shoot manual on the fly if they stop over thinking everything as well, that's where all the magic happens. Use your live view to set your exposure because it's exactly what you see is what you get. Don't just flick the knobs to your liking and start firing away, Look at what you did, look and learn the setting you put it at while looking at the light in the shot and REMEMBER it. Then you'll be able to literally look with your eyes one day and you be able to just about dial your setting in before you bust the first shot. Just get out there and shoot! SEPARATE YOUR BACKGROUNDS for those shooting with subjects(Not just setting it to at F1.2 and leaving it there). Separate also means using your exposure and ISO so your shots are not super flat as if you shot on 100% full auto.
Ответитьp.s. Hey! Could you do a reaction video to some topic, technique, generative AI fills, etc. ???
ОтветитьGrand Slam, Laura!!! I'll betcha a banana split you will earn your 100K YT plaque by year end. 🤩
ОтветитьThanks Laura!

" Geez ?!😂😂😂 You ain't NEVER LIED 💯🤣🤣🤣 But I liked your comment I saw sometime ago "1 shot ! I'm not perfect" 😂😂😂 I actually take 2 or 3 and keep it moving 💯! 😅 So much to learn !!!
