The US should be more concerned about the potential war with China. They will need everything they have available not to be looking at another failure in their last conflicts, especially in Afghanistan against the Taliban. That was a huge embarrassment for the USA. In a full scale war conventional war(excluding nuclear war), the U.S. has the ability to launch an amphibious, as well as an amphibious attack, and do so with success. Yes, it’d be difficult and many would die, but it’s still something fully within the realm of possibility. However, Russia could never even get a single ship across the ocean in order to do the same. If the war was relentless and to an end, America would win. Period.

after 3 years of Russia combat testing it's equipment against an inferior opponent, I think the US may be left with more ships and planes then you think
Russian NAVY is not maintained, many ships just catch fire from starting them, only subs seem somewhat maintained, but US subs are more numerous and and are good in hunting Russians
so it'll be mainly distance, but when a foothold has been established, nothing much will stop them, US is also a big fan of attacking from multiple sides, even if just fakes, so Russia will not take most of it's anti air to the east, it'll want to protect harbors in the west to, giving the US a better chance in the east
most of US equipment has been tested in combat and now so has Russia's, and it's crap, even it's hypersonic missiles aren't what they claim !
