I also heard it's better to exhale as you pop up rather than inhale , for increased energy and stability. Any thoughts on that please?
ОтветитьBooked my surf camp at Padang Padang.
ОтветитьYour explanation is really interesting. You are very precise compliments. One thing that struck me was that stretching mat with a surfboard pictured on it and the various hand positions. I'd like to buy one, do you know where I can buy it? Thank you so much 🤙
ОтветитьVery nice... But instead of looking forward just before the pop-up you should always look to the wave and where you wanna go. It makes the pop-up much easier more control and speed. Besides the hands next to your ribs, eyes on the wave those are the littles details that make all the diference.
ОтветитьAmazing video man thank you so much for these tips!! For someone that doesn‘t live close to the ocean, these types of exercises are absolutely vital!! But of course they are vital for any stoked surfer out there hehe 😄🤙
ОтветитьThis is just the best ever video I have watched on posiioning of the feet. This has helped me progressso much. Wish you would make some more like this. Thanks, Lea from Australia😊
ОтветитьThank you bro!! Needed this rn 😊🙏🏼🌊🤙🏼✨☘️🌈✨
ОтветитьGreat video. But, your explaining on a short board. Being a 6'0 tall Intermediate surfer, I ride a mid length 6'6. So, I always stand up on the middle of the board.
I understand how to go forward to catch more waves and have stability. But, still don't understand how to pop up very far back...
great tips, i look forward to more of them.. peace out from vanisle
ОтветитьBrilliant 🤙🏄♂️
ОтветитьThank you - this is very helpful!! But the music makes it very hard to listen.
ОтветитьThe music is too loud comparing to your voice!
ОтветитьDónde compro un tapete como ese hermano? o alguien que pase el link si se encuentra en internet.
ОтветитьShot bru. Good foot positioning tutorial
ОтветитьCan you provide a link to the mat your using in this video? Thanks!
Ответитьgood stuff!
ОтветитьExcellent, really good tutorial!
ОтветитьVery good lesson. I've had huge issues with pearling after stepping down to a smaller board. I am finally getting the hang of it after realizing my body position and weight is too far forward and consciously pop-up a lot further back. Having snowboarded my whole life the natural stance I pop-up into is to have the center of gravity in the middle of the board, with my feet position almost the same distance between the nose and the front foot, as the tail and the back foot.
When I first started surfing I mostly used 65-80l boards and got into a bad habit to pop-up into forward heavy position but being so stable it worked anyways. Going down to a 50l board has been a harsh but good lesson.
This was excellent , after 30 years of surfing this has been a game changer / you presented this very well / especially with the board template on the mat.
ОтветитьLegend, thank you
ОтветитьHello! Where can we buy the mat that appears on the miniature of the vid?
ОтветитьAwesome thank you. Focusing on fundamentals is so important. I was making rookie mistakes and making bad habits and then I realized I need to go back to fundamentals. It's a big difference.
Ответитьmuchas gracias, excelente explicación.
ОтветитьHey where did you find the carpet with the surf board map
ОтветитьI watched several videos but i can say that this video gave me so much information out positioning of the legs. Excellent content, thank you
ОтветитьJesus the music is annoying
ОтветитьThank you, Marcelo!
One of the most useful videos out here on the internet!
Hey where should be my backfoot on 7"2 Egg?
ОтветитьGreat fundamentals 😄 thank you so much 😄
ОтветитьWhere can I find this practice mat?? Learned a lot from this video!
ОтветитьWhere did you get the surf mat.
ОтветитьWhere does one find a mat like that?
ОтветитьGreat film Marcelo ( inhale, exhale) cheers mate
Ответитьgreat stuff! Would you say the „jump“ is better than the „chicken wing technique“? lower-end intermediate from Portugal here ;)
ОтветитьBueno Dias senior !!!!!!
ОтветитьThis was REALLY helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьBackground music gets in the way,...Just friendly advice tone it down or have none, people want instructions and advice which you give well, music is ok for surf footage and elevators....
ОтветитьThank you for the video! I had pretty bad technique but I was fit enough (and the waves slow enough) for it to work. I have moved now to somewhere with faster waves and I went down to a 4' 6" board and my bad technique was no longer working.. I spent an hour practicing what you showed and changing my technique.
I'm going surfing tomorrow I will let you know if this helped :')
thanks mate. popup always an issue for me. some sessions i nail it every time. but most of the time its a issue . one problem i have is i arch up for too long before poping up. i don't even know why i do it
ОтветитьExcelente! 👍👍
ОтветитьVery good lesson :) takes years to learn this listen to Marcelo hes epic!
Ответитьthis just changed my life. well. okay. but it helped a lot! thanks so much
ОтветитьGreat video where can I find that mat you were using?
ОтветитьThank you its amazing!! can you make a video on how to surf a longboard?
ОтветитьAwesome Vid
Cheers mate
Really nice tips. Nobody thinks to talk about these tips and so important ! I understand many thing thanks to you! Take you !!!
ОтветитьGreat video Marcelo thanks. Where did you get the mat from?
ОтветитьGreat video but the music is way too loud and the audio balance is mixed all the way to the right speaker. I had to turn off my right speaker to hear what you were saying.
