I wonder, what if steam loco using electric boilers intead of oil burn ones, and the elecity provided using solar and alternators on every car wheels, I think that would be an amazingly powerful and power efficient engine ever, it will only require electricity to start it up and water for the main fuel. Cherry on top?, it's eco friendly.
ОтветитьAwesome Catch
ОтветитьShes barely breaking a sweat at 70 with no diesel assist
ОтветитьHer: Babe, come to my house
Him: Sorry, I'm driving a loco rn
Her: But I'm alone...
Him:
Electric is efficient but you'll never get that mechanical satisfaction, I don't know how to describe it, it's really strange.
ОтветитьThe way it rocks over small bumps almost makes it look sped up. What a crazy thing to see, love it.
ОтветитьIt looks very similar to pure marquette 1225
ОтветитьAmazing how people 150+ years ago were riding around this fast
ОтветитьThe Sooooooooooooul Train.
ОтветитьShe is an absolute work of art! Steam engines may no longer be mainline haulers, but they are an absolute work of art, and the blowing of a steam whistle is pure music
Ответить🎵 Samson assumes
that he can steam on 🎵
(Music from the brave locomotive)
765 train her sealing 611s train 3 car
ОтветитьThe speed surprised me. In my opinion, I would say that this train is the polar express.
ОтветитьI rode the fall color excursion on October 14 this year. Wasn’t this fast but next year I’m definitely booking a fast run next year
ОтветитьWow
Ответить765: TRAIN INCOMING! Railroad Crossing: WATCHOUT
ОтветитьSteam engines were better for the environment Im pretty sure, instead of releasing hazardous fumes, steam trains obviously release steam
ОтветитьI saw the NKP 759 waaaaaay back in 1969 on the Golden Spike Centennial train, just east of Springfield Illinois, wasnt going as fast, but every bit as awesome..............just think if that leading truck had 4 wheels instead of only 2 ??????🤔👍👍❗
Ответить"Lord, I cant change, won't you fly high free bird yeah!"
Solo starts playing
It’s not only amazing how fast steam locomotives move, but do so while pulling so much weight
ОтветитьImagine these trains going at 100mph.
ОтветитьEngineer had ole girl in the wind!
ОтветитьThe video has been sped up.
ОтветитьThe best part in my book, is it’s doing that speed without a diesel behind it
ОтветитьThis video is sped up, play it at .75 for accuracy.
ОтветитьHighballing!
ОтветитьHere she is
ОтветитьThe sheer power and majesty displayed here is quite literally almost supernatural. We as humans have created some mesmerizing machines.
ОтветитьNow that's a proper train. Hauling ass and as big as 4 Amtrak consists.
ОтветитьTo get an idea of what the PRR S1, NW 611 and New York Central Hudson must have looked like going at a full clip, set playback speed to 1.5x
ОтветитьNice clip
ОтветитьWith no diesel engine
ОтветитьI don't believe any of these British trains were as fast as this no way, pack of lies they made up, they broke down most of the time so I heard.
ОтветитьPickin em up and laying um down
ОтветитьHi me im from united States where my best ticket union station will I'm get coffee from luxery trains
ОтветитьGas gas gas
ОтветитьFinally. A video of an American steam locomotive at high speed that DOESN'T need help from a diesel. Sorry... been watching too many UK rail videos.
ОтветитьNKP 765 is always the one in my heart…
Ответить"Excursion train coming through!" the engine yelled as she raced through the countryside.
ОтветитьDiesel trains have no style compared to the moving pistons and bellowing smoke of a steam locomotive, blasting that whistle as it flies by at 70 mph
Ответить70mph, no diesel helper and 18 passnger cars and a water tender
This is why 765 is badass
Going frame by frame to count the wheel rotations I count about 5 and 1/3 rotations per second which translates to 320rpm and given her driver diameter of 69 inches the equals that gives us 65.654mph in this clip. Very close to 70!
ОтветитьTerrifyingly beautiful 🤩 ..!
ОтветитьBritish steam at speed may be cool, but big, powerful American power at speed is even better!
ОтветитьCan’t believe this was normal to see back in the day
Ответитьi think it would be cool to see 765 and 4014 double head
ОтветитьThis little clip encapsulates EVERYTHING I love about steam locomotives. The noise, the speed, the style, it's everything.
ОтветитьChoo Choo mofu
Ответить21 cars.
