Thank you, this was very helpful
ОтветитьThis was the first video on cooking Corn on the cobb I watched! I am salavating as you walk us through this! Thanks! Now it's time to g to work! and then EAT Corn on the Cobb! Thanks!
ОтветитьThere is no correct way in cooking it's an art form and while there is a science to it they're guidelines corn you can shallow fry, dry fry, air fry, grill and in the oven and of course boil it's a versatile crop if it wasn't those who had little else to live on would of lost their minds, I'm planning to coat mine in butter, dill and wrap it up in foil and bake it like a potato & if i'm still hungry after I got some loose corn that I can do in a pan with some diced onion, diced steak, black bean sauce and korean bbq... my own little mix of things I did this mix in a flask and took it with me was a little thick though so I took a spoon and some kitchen paper to clean up when i'm done
I managed to hike 7 miles that day and by god did that food give me the energy to keep going it was a good summer's day, it's gonna be great for winter too I might add a bit of salted baking butter to the sauce this time saves me adding regular salt!
I'm so coming over for dinner.
ОтветитьYum
ОтветитьEvery time I cook it for 456 minutes it's like I'm eating raw corn if I cook it for 15 minutes it's delicious
Ответитьsalt and pepper AFTER you butter it.
ОтветитьI have some silts on something else they need removed
ОтветитьThat is exactly the way I do it which my wife showed me how
ОтветитьIt’s not the time that’s important. It’s understanding if the corn is done. The ears tend to be small with small kernels these days so maybe three or four minutes works. When we were kids they sold huge ears. They took longer to cook.
ОтветитьMicrowave it with the husk on. 4.5 minutes for one ear. Don't cook away the flavor. Cut the the big end off square and squeeze it from the top. It will pop out.
ОтветитьI bring my water to a boil, then add corn and turn heat off. It's done
Ответить😋 good 👍🏾
ОтветитьI grow a huge patch of it every year.
What I like about corn on the cob most is I can eat it with both my teeth…an don’t get stuck between them like celery.
Y’all have a great day!😊
Sweet corn thats fresh is best raw with nothing on it. Chill it in the refrigerator, thats it. Sweeter than apples.
Ответить❤❤❤great
ОтветитьGood corn doesn’t need anything on it
ОтветитьI’ve been boiling my corn my whole life. I just saw a video for microwaving it and thought no way but it turned out perfect. I’m blown away. And the best part is no shucking! You just pull the cob right out after it’s done!
ОтветитьHey Tammy, the corn looks delicious. I have some fresh picked corn, which I will be having some today. ❤😊
ОтветитьThe way I was taught was to place the ears in a pot of cold water, then bring to a boil. The ears are done when the water boils.
ОтветитьI'll eat corn on the cob raw picked fresh from the field, but this looks good.
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video. I am able to buy corn directly from the farm so that I am certain that it is fresh. I boil a pot of water and then I put the corn in the water and set the pot off of the fire. When the bread is done, the corn is perfect every time!
ОтветитьI started steaming my corn many. Years ago, then it only needs pepper. No salt or butter.
ОтветитьI have not boiled an ear of corn for about 40 years. I stick mine in the microwave for 3 minutes for 1 or 2, in the husks, after 3 minutes it’s so easy to clean, that might take 10 seconds per ear. I’m going to go buy some tomorrow. Yum.
Ответитьyou got teeth... I dont have any...so how do I eat this??
ОтветитьSoak the ears overnight in some water and bunch of Tony Chacrie’s seasoning
ОтветитьI've been overcooking my corn on the cob my entire life!!!! This is such a life-changer!! My dog always tries to bite my arm thinking its corn on the cob, but now that I know the proper way to cook it, I will never have this problem again!!!! Thanks, with gratitude, Shelly 😍
ОтветитьOh interesting. Well i deff over boil. I like to boil my corn for a while, ans then add some salt
ОтветитьThe sweet corn in Indiana is just BUSTING out of the fields right now. My husband and I stopped at a little country side honor system sweet corn wagon and got a dozen ears for $6.00. We shucked them yesterday, and put them in the fridge. Tonight I got them out to get room temp, then followed your directions to a T. DELICIOUS! No more mushy tasteless sweet corn for us! It was crispy, and crunchy and all the flavors of each kernel just BURST in your mouth instead of getting lost in the water by overboiling like we used to. Thank you for the video, this is how I will boil corn from now on. I'll forward your video to my daughters who also live in Indiana! We have a jingle song here....."There's Only Corn In Indiana!" lol Thanks again!
ОтветитьAdd a stick of butter in your water. Delicious. I also had dash of garlic from a restaurant.
ОтветитьLove it
ОтветитьOh my goodness! I cooked corn for the very first time like an awesome southern cook, thanks to your video! My sister was beyond impressed, and her cookin’ is delicious.
I appreciate you, ma’am!!❤
That’s it ?!?!
I would have been making corn a long time ago if I had known it was that easy
I’m one of those people to lol now I know Thank you
ОтветитьThat looks so good!!!❤
ОтветитьI like to bake mines in butter after I wash them. I also like to cook my corn on the cob over the grill.
ОтветитьI know someone who boils their corn on the cob in milk.
ОтветитьA wonderful recipe! I really liked it! Thank you.
ОтветитьI’m watching this in 2023
ОтветитьTammy, whoop whoop, ARKANSAS STYLE LOVES Y'ALL
ОтветитьI’m confused what makes this southern ?
ОтветитьOutstanding!❤
ОтветитьYou know your stuff !
ОтветитьNo wonder my corn's always been tough. 😜
ОтветитьBowl your corn?
ОтветитьLeave the husk on. Nuke it 2 min's. Run under cold H2o for 10 sec. Shuck. The silk will come off with it. Butter, S&P, eat, repeat.
Ответитьtbh i cook my corn on the cob directly on the stove. I prefer a charcoal grill of course, but i just cook it on the stove and it works well and tastes yummy 😂😂
ОтветитьMy son didn't have corn last night because I told him it would take hours. It's the following morning now. I looked for a recipe when I woke up. And seven minutes later we have fresh sweet soft corn! On behalf of all moms I just want to say a big THANK YOU!
ОтветитьSoon as I heard that banjo, I knew I was in th right place. 🌽
ОтветитьMan it's so good raw
