Question - I use the regular (all skinbetter science) alto, with Even Serum and Mystro Serum and their Even Tone sunscreen and I turn orange. I am thinking it is the vitamin c reacting weirdly with my skin. Any thoughts?

Each brand has propriety active like TFC8 (AB), seaweed (La Mer), colloidal platinum (la prairie platinum rare) of course their own formulations. Why does dermatologist like to treat all these as myth? I am just curious, does it mean they are fake science and selling dreams like Disney?

could you tell me if you have tested the zo skinhealth line? Is it similar to skinbetter? I am 60 and using the entire anti aging line and add in 1.0% obagi tretenoid. I wondered if you have an opinion on the line of skincare. hydrating cleanser, pads, power defense and their sunscreen & primer broad spectrum spf 30 ZOX12.

Dr. Ellis, what are your thoughts regarding Neocutis growth factor serum and the AnteAGE MD growth factor serum and accelerator serum ( the accelerator is supposed to be applied after the growth factor serum)? I’ve been using skin medica advanced growth factor serum for years but I heard these serums are better. Please advise❤️❤️

I'd love to see a video comparing similar products from medical grade skincare brands (Obagi, Alastin, EltaMD, Skinbetter, Skinmedica, Skinceuticals, etc)! I think this would be great for those who buy medical grade skincare to know which products you think are more effective/better from which brands! love your content! i learn sooo much <3

Alastin's ultra nourishing moisturizer is so great! I love the ingredients. It goes on kinda "greasy" but in a good way for dry skin, then it absorbs well. My skin is so dry that ive always layered cheap moisturizers and i think that leads to clogged pores. So expensive moisturizer is worth it to me.

Can you do a video on Zero Waste or low waste or environmentally-responsible skin care products? Products that are fair trade, have only vegan ingredients, have minimal packaging--and that packaging is recyclable, the manufacturer pays fair wages, the ingredients were sustainably sourced, etc? For example, currently I'm only using shea butter that I bought directly from a women's collective in Ghana, but I'd like to add to that. I realize nothing is perfect--the shea butter, for example, came wrapped in a plastic bag and then in a UPS bag (which I repurposed as a garbage bag). But we can try our best.

Is the Skinmedica TNS and Alastin product similar or should we try to have both? I used the original TNS for a few years and honestly I didn’t notice anything. I have always , since my early 20 s been obsessive about skincare & quality products/ sun avoid. I’m 46. Main thing was I couldn’t figure out where to fit it in! It didn’t layer well. Pilled under stuff and over , felt like it just sat on top. I’m wondering if anyone is likening edition 2 better as far as consistency. Was I using too much?

Thanks for the review on these products. I find that whatever the price point, our skin will still age. For me, what works best in keeping my skin youthful is a healthy lifestyle, cleansing my skin well daily, and hydration — both drinking water and applying hydrating gels.

Dr. Ellis, I am not convinced that the growth factor serum presented is able to get into the skin to do what it needs to do. Proteins are large molecules that often times require special transport proteins to cross the cell membrane. I am not convinced.
