about the cat thing, i had a cat for 7 years and coming home after a rough day to her got me through some of the hardest years of my life. she would always sit next to my on the couch, only tolerated me holding her, and slept next to me every night. she passed just over a year ago and i’m honestly so surprised and proud of myself for surviving the year because i was in such a bad place that she helped me get through every day. she was definitely one of the sweetest cats i’ve ever met and i’m glad she got to spend her final years comfortable with me
if anyone undermines how helpful pets can be to your mental health, that’s a red flag

I have this set up in my gameroom with a replica of Link's Master Sword, shield, and ocarina on display. The ocarina hangs on the hilt of the sword via clothe cord, I knocked it over in my haste to leave and was going to pick it up when I got home. Came home and went to fix it and could not find the ocarina. It's a decent weight, and could not figure out where it had fell as I was sure I saw it on the ground when I left.

A few days later I found the ocarina in a completely different room, in the very back of my cat's cave in the closet of that room. Cat weights 2 lbs, decided she wanted wanted that for her collection, and drug the 7lbs ocarina all the way across the house to keep it 😂

Regarding the feeding the dog story

I spent $98 on 1 lasagna, 2 loaves of garlic bread (small), 1 bag small bag of salad, and some ingredients to make dessert for my family the other day. Food is expensive as hell, why the hell would you take a quarter of a ROAST to your dog without asking? Absolute ahole

Alright, I just have to say, I'm all for tipping large amounts of money, but the strict 20% on high bills is a wild idea to me. If one waitress served 8 glasses of water and another served 8 glasses of expensive wine, why should the second waitress get tipped more? Is serving wine harder than serving water? Does the wine come out of the waitress's pay? In what world is $20 a bad tip?

Like, if my bill was $500 because I ordered something extravagantly expensive, a 20% tip would be $100. For the same work a waitress would do if my meal was $50? A $20 tip is still a generous amount.

The dude in the cat story must have never had a pet. Or a pet that was actually treated like a member of a house hold. I’m married with kids and our cat does everything with us. Movie night on the couch,someone’s holding the cat. Eating dinner,someone filled his bowl. Going to bed,cats in someone’s bed passed out. Moving house,kids sitting in the back holding the cat. Doing laundry,cats sitting in the hamper. Kids playing a game on the floor,cats watching from under the bed. Like dude it’s a pet, this is what they are supposed to do. They’re companions, they don’t know anything but us. We are their entire lives.
