Let me get this straight:
Alfa: lighter, more power, more torque and yet lost the drag race… what went wrong Matt?

If the Giulia QV actually had launch control, it would be a must buy hands down. But in the real world, most people don't go to a track to take advantage of the higher HP. Therefore, you'll get beat off the line all day every day by all the other performance cars with AWD, like M3, M4, RS5 and AMG C63's. And those cars actually compete in HP as well. As beautiful and great as the Giulia QV is, it's no longer a modern day competitor anymore. It was when it came out in 2017 and for a few years after that, but sadly no real performance updates for the past 6 years and none for 2024 either 🤦‍♂️ shooting themselves in the foot..

Apparently Alpha was a little "generous" with their weight ratings of the Giulia... alot of independent testting has shown it to be quite a bit heavier then what they say it is .. like a lot

If you had sat on the line in dynamic mode in gear with the handbrake on & your future over the accelerator instead of taking time to take your foot of the brakes & move it over to the accelerator, your would have won. That's how I can beat much faster cars in my lowly 280bhp Veloce model

both of these cars are great.

I've got the Guilia Veloce 280bhp. It's absolutely fantastic. Downside is you can't turn off traction control but can still have a lot of fun with it. Also without doubt the best looking car on the road compared with the now-common German counterparts. Highly recommend the Veloce.
