Speaking solid truth!!

About 5-6 years ago . I was forced to “ghost” some of my old acquaintances in order to get closer to Hashem . Ghosting the bad people is very important bH .

along my teshuva path, which has now been a very long time ( almost 18 years)
I found the world has only gotten darker and darker.
Good people are very hard to find in our world.
People with good middos that show care and respect for others,
people who sit and learn torah,
people who are truly happy.
My only solace is learning gemara, usually alone, and walking by the beach.
walking in the woods. just escaping what this world has become.
i dont know who to trust anymore, and even in places like lakewood and monsey
this applies. its a low generation.

I had a friend that from the day we met was stronger than me. More modest, more strict. When life tested us: I clung harder to HaShem and she fell away. I stayed friends with her because I remembered her from before. This person in the end with all her schemes, game playing, narcissism… she almost destroyed me completely in the end. I went from getting up early to pray to barely praying before Minah. It took all my energy to just go through the motions. This has been the most difficult and important Selichot I’ve had in awhile.
