Nice video, thank you ❤
ОтветитьThank you for the video...
ОтветитьLiving a more intentional lifestyle is really the objective. You have the right to rewrite your story and even determine this is not how my story will end.
ОтветитьBeautiful sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ответить"doing the dishes manually" made me laugh. my mother used to tell everyone she had a dishwasher. it was my dad.🤣
ОтветитьA quote that resonated with me so strongly from this video is "It's not just about the end goal, but who we become." I feel that it's so often forgotten especially this time of year, when we are reminded of the need for new goals in the new year. And yet, by the end of the year, we are not solely thinking about what we've checked off but how we feel because we've done those things, and whether our daily habits reflect the changes in our routine. Your words are a warm reminder that reflection while still actively pursuing a goal only serves to enhance the journey in reaching that achievement. Thank you for another thought-provoking video Sophie 💓
ОтветитьI was working hourly at a remote job and thinking this will work….I’ll go under my fiancés health insurance when we get married. And have more time to enjoy nature and animals. I felt like I was settling and could do so much more with my brain. And then took a full time job making more money than him and turns out I’m much happier with focus, projects and the fast pace world of corporate life… I luckily still get to work from home 4 out of the 5 days. I don’t feel so lost. I don’t buy things and am saving for a house in a beautiful area. I like the simple life and enjoy nature but still need health insurance and a full time job for my mental health. Along with working 50 hours a week I actively read books and have 3 dogs and take care of my bed ridden mother.

ОтветитьDo you speak Portuguese?
ОтветитьNew subscriber here! I love your channel and your message. I am retiring at age 56 in May and want nothing more than to clean out my house of what I've been neglecting for so long. Stuff that has piled up in the hopes that one day I'll use it "when I have more time". Life is too short to continually trip over the clutter of the past. Literally and figuratively! ❤
ОтветитьJust found this channel, it is so good. You should research bitcoin. It is a savings technology that makes your purchasing power go up over time. This has turned me into a minimalist, as I save for my future instead of buying unnecessary items.
ОтветитьWe can have all the comfort , money , you name it. But there will always be an emptiness in our lives if God isn’t part of it. He can never be replaced with anything ❤
Ответитьso nice to meet you in person at Cafe Kopi! Congratulations again, on an excellent "channel."
Ответитьfellow young creator here, thinking and reflecting on the same things you touched on. go you! rooting for you.
for anyone reading this - i share recipes and relevations as a young person in their 20s navigating this sometimes stupid, sometimes wonderful thing called life. if you're seeing this, i think it's for a reason. hope to see you around.
This is a phenomenal video. It has such an important message that I think a lot of people could benefit to hear. I really do wonder how much this excess of comfort contributes to so many of us feeling depressed and purposeless. There's truly nothing like the feeling of accomplishing something challenging or pushing yourself to see what you're made of
ОтветитьAnother wonderful video! Thank you Sophie for sharing this and for all your inspirational ideas! 🩷😘
ОтветитьI first discovered your channel last year when I was on maternity leave with my first child. I have been hooked ever since. Your videos are so calming and peaceful and they help me relax and also learn about achieving peace and balance in my life. I, too, also have a problem with Googling everything that pops into my mind. This year I'm trying to cut back on distraction and work on focusing and staying in the present moment.
ОтветитьCan you pls do a book recommendation video?😊❤
ОтветитьSo many great messages! <3
ОтветитьMy life has changed since that i'm addict to get over my comfort zone, addict to feeling that came to me after this, feeling of growth. This make me feel alive.
ОтветитьI think our definition of comfort will keep evolving as we age and enter new phases of our lives. The key is to learn to change, adapt to and live with whatever planned or unexpected situation that comes along.
ОтветитьSophie, I'm genuinely grateful for the content you generate. Thank you for the positive impact!
ОтветитьYou're an inspiration😍🧿
Love from Sikkim❤
People should want a comfortable life. Just not the American dream life of over excess.
ОтветитьFor someone who is always seeking comfort, I think 'misogi' is something that spoke to me. Perhaps this year I need to put in more effort to 'deliberately seek discomfort' to grow. Thank you for this beautiful sharing.
ОтветитьI grew up in an environment where discomfort was expected and was perhaps considered a virtue. I think this is where things are taken to the extreme for example where you don’t have clean clothes or adequate feminine protection not due to lack of resources but just trying to make it with as little as possible because it was somehow “virtuous.” I can’t began to understand why things were like that but I think that’s why comfort has a different meaning to me.
ОтветитьJust go camping every once in a while - keeps you grounded, instantly reminding you of and have you reconsider anything you miss to bring, making you appreciate the most basic things,.
ОтветитьHiking is just the best!
Ответитьyou seem to want to reject the comforts of the modern world which is so typical of the westerner who never experienced hardship. I grew up in a different country and we didnt have lot of things that westerners took for granted. Not everyone had a phone, only selected people had cars, we had no video games, or lot of toys and there was only two channels on tv, as a girl I never had pretty clothes or nice shoes, etc. I lived without all of that. Do i think it was a good thing? no. Did it make me appreciate having it after moving to US? yes and I NEVER want to live without the comforts of the modern society again. I am doubt that most people who grew up outside US especially in third world country share your views. What is the point of you rejecting it? no point really. Yeah don't get your nose stuck in your phone, go for a run instead and meet your friends. Thats all good but all this "simple life" is for entitled westerners who have no clue
ОтветитьThank You for video! For me misogi is challenge:))
ОтветитьI just got that book
Ответитьgreat video. in christianity a period where we may give up comfort every year is during lent. for example through fasting or giving up something that indulges us (like social media or shopping).
ОтветитьSophie you are a breath of fresh air. So grateful for your content and everything you do ✨️💌
ОтветитьNever forget that money is infinite, but your time is finite.
Ответить♥️♥️♥️
ОтветитьAlways so much simplicity ❤ thank you
ОтветитьI absolutely love your videos!! Just recently found you. You are doing a great job❤😊
ОтветитьNice video ❤
ОтветитьI really apreciate this content... Simple words but thought-provoking. Thanks ❤
ОтветитьThank you! Your video made me tear up and brought new wave of inspiration.
ОтветитьI grow up in Brazil and had a very neglected childhood, when I moved to the US at 19 I had a completely different life, I got so much there and started to consume a lot. A year ago my husband and I decided to move to Italy and life is very different here, we’re not even allow to buy much from the supermarket it is mostly what we need. It’s being a life lesson, to realize that sometimes the emptiness inside of us tell us that we need to be surrounded by people and have a lot.
ОтветитьControlled discomfort may be good. Discomfort from must? It sux AF.
ОтветитьYour last point really resonated with me. It's so true that good things require effort. When things are too easy and I suddenly have days filled with free time, I tend not to spend them in ways that enrich my life or make me feel fulfilled. Conversely, when I spend my days slowly and lovingly working away to serve my family and striving towards my goals, I feel a sense of accomplishment and meaning that even the most relaxing days can't beat.
ОтветитьBecause you want 2 maintain sexy.❤
ОтветитьI'm not the only one.
ОтветитьI listened carefully to your video. I'm no one special. Just interested. Sometimes people don't realize how little they have to do to accomplish things. The joy is seeing how you got somewhere in the end without figuring out all the methods. You are young enough to reap maximum benefits.
ОтветитьThank you Sophie. I always take away numerous things from your videos. All of them to better myself and my life. I am grateful to you, 🙏
ОтветитьVisiting Oahu north shore in june. Can you recommend a hike suitable for 6 year old too?
ОтветитьTotally relate when you spoke of reaching for the phone when one has an immediate question or interest. There is immediate gratification and comfort everywhere in the first world. I enjoyed this video 💛
