SARASWATI MANTRA Improve Speech, Focus

The Hindu Goddess Saraswati represents flowing waters, art, learning, knowledge, music, speech and wisdom. She is also known by other names like Shatarupa, Savitri, Gayatri and Brahmani. Regular chanting of this mantra is practiced for improving clarity in expression, concentration and focus required for studies and learning skills.

TRANSLATION

SARASWATI MANTRA

O, the white delicate one
who is like a garland
of dew drops on the moon
who wears a white garment
who plays a veena
with ornamented hands
bestowing blessings
with her gestures
while sitting on a white lotus
who is always worshipped
by Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

May that great goddess protect me
and completely remove
the ignorance and dullness
from my consciousness.
