lol the barrels are registered so those guns actually are tracable so definetly not ghost guns + they are safe bacause barrel, pin, slide, pin holder, pin case at the back etc. is factory made so they should be safe relatively reliable and definetly tracable. In a weapon only tracable thing is not the serial number on frame which easyly can be removed or changeable part xD

I cant see the issue letting people print their own frames, grips, receivers etc to personalize their firearms. What I do find strange is that all the important, pressure bearing, parts can just be ordered over the internet in the USA. Its these parts that make the 3D printed parts become a lethal firearm, not the part the guy printed himself. Nothing printed at home (yet) is going to work for more than one shot without a metal barrel. In the UK its this barrel/action/chamber that is the regulated part. You can buy a barrel blank here with no issues, but cut a chamber into it and its now regulated and illegal. If the American government want to prevent guns failing into the wrong hands (and I'm not getting into an argument about the 2nd amendment) then control the sale of chambered barrels, as without one your 3d printed gun is nothing more than a kids toy!

I m not for regulations, but if they really wanted to regulate firearms, firearms would be just as accessible as they are now, but the ammunition would be whats strongly regulated together with smokeless powder, as I don’t believe many would synthesize nitroglycerin and nitroglycerol at home to make gun cotton

for me seems like such ghost gun is nothing else than printed lower ... this will not work without properly made barrel and other parts. as long as you can't print reliable barrel such ghost gun is not worth more than airsoft replica.

Even without a printer you could make a gun out of scrap or just hardware store parts easily. And if your to stupid for that just hammer some nails through a board or make a bow and boom youve got a weapon 😂
You can't regulate something like weapons

Maybe an insane take here, but I remember learning how to respond to a fire in your home. Firefighters came to my elementary with a simulated home on a trailer. And learning how to talk to officer with the police. I think gun safety should be taught in schools, shouldn't everyone know how to safely maneuver firearms? Whether there's a random gun left in public, active shooter, etc, etc.

Pretty sure we as a country understand it's better to have the knowledge and not need it, than to need it and not fuckin have it
