I have been wanting one for years and I am FINALLY getting myself the slim on Friday and I am so excited…I will be paying on it for the next two yrs but that’s all right. I’m glad I found your channel though, going to sub.

Yes that Jacob R video saying the PS5 overheated was such BS. I don't watch him at all anymore because he is so click baity and just so low effort with his crap.

This is not what PS had to do with the drive..... Before... you could borrow games from your friends too. Next to that, if you have no disc, the downloaded game will not boot up (not on ps4 or ps5). If you start the game it will ask to insert the disc. So why lock the disc drive? The discs that do download the game fully, are Fake discs with no content, but a 25Mb download key.... no need to protector that either with the drive.....

They could have made this slimmer but they know they will make more money making another slim+ or something. When a diy person can make a smaller PS5 than this, you know sony is f**king people.

am not a PS owner but if u own the base model ain't worth it to spend 550$ for that Slim model cause its basically the same its just smaller nothing else apart from that it costs more

I picked the ps5 og because it had more reliability than the slim because the fan is exposed so it can suck in dust dog hair and stuff like that plus the fact that you can replace the disc drive which is an indicator that the ps5 has reliability issues and the hdmi cord from the first ps5 is universal for all the modern tv so it’s easier to hook up

Does the slim also have the problem of the OG liquid metal pooling in the vertical position and overheating?

I will go with ps5 pro 12 months later.

7900m laptop gpu beats 4080m at 7 pct even in ray tracing at 180w. This is realistic for ps5.

A zen 3+ custom 8c cpu and 80CU rdna 4.0 chiplet new gpu with 20gb gddr7 vram for 8K textures(sony aims for 8k) is gonna happen.

Because base model is so good can do 4k native, for game devs patching ps5 games to ps5 pro will be quite easy. We will have 120hz4K gaming with fsr 3 as well.

The issue is will sony add a special hardware for frame generation like rtx 4000 cards have. Ps4 pro had a special chip for checkerboard upscale and it was succesful.

Thanks to ps4 pro and xbox one x, ps5 and xbx owners enjoy better base games woth no next gen update.

Ps4 pro often runs game at 1800p and high fps limits. With ps5 you play with the ps4 pro patch if game was patched and some devs did actually raised 1800p to 2160p(4k) and frame target to 60 hz...

Ps4 base was never good but thats what we had. Ps5 base is actually good. Gap between mobile(laptop, consoles) and desktop is getting narrower.

As a ps5 fat owner i will wait for that ps5 pro and enjoy better 4k and rt gaming and less stutter in 120hz cod gaming. A frame gen like dlss 3 would be amazing tho. Also i plan to buy vr headset for ps5. Pro model will run it better(higher fps, better render ppi)

Overall ssd upgrade path, added 1440p and vrr support , dolby atmos support and good VR solution and coming from ps4 with many digital games i havent played yet, ps5 was a good choice. Its been some years now. And since ssds are cheaper way cheaper i ordered 4tb fast nvme for 230usd. Which was 550 600 usd 2 3 years ago...

For xbx x a technical can easily replace internal ssd if it dies(these things have a life span) but ps5 is soldered. So it is a very good idea to buy at least 1 or 2tb of fast pci ex ssd for your ps5. Because deleting games often for more storage will kill your ssd faster. For xbx x thats nota big deal. I know MS went with worst way to upgrade ssd but for sony you cant change the internal ssd.

So thats sth no one really talks about. An external ssd is easy to replace.
Use that.

Man you are a real one talking about the fact that they couldn't include the vertical stand and something else to put the system horizontally instead of just giving us those little plastic things. Nonetheless I am getting the digital model next week, can't wait!

It took some of us so long to get the original PlayStation5 when it was never available now the new one is out and there’s choices available damn sony.

Agreed on the whole kickstand BS, they could of made something like a bar that was self contained that pulled out and wouldn’t be susceptible to losing or breaking which we know will be the fate of these things.

Do you need a 24/7 wifi connection to use the disc drive or just to install it?

Liked the slim for about a day now can't get it to play any ps5 games, digital or physical. Have been trying to fix issue with no success.

it dont matter what kind of ps5 version they make they all run the same its just a preference console everyone wants something different then the other customer its all demand buyers guide

I haven't bought the ps5 yet but I never had over heating issues with every PlayStation I have. I even bought the OG 1996 Ps1 at a pawnshop and it still works like charm.

I pretty much am sticking with the og because I am turning them into the spiderman 2 edition. I am having too much fun with them right now. 🏀

I like the fact it’s small enough to put on a desk if I for some reason stop being a pc master race gamer it’s an option.

100% Sony will have better quality stands for the slim on there store oh how convenient. Also 3rd party seller gonna be selling a lot of then.
