Car dealer cant sell someone a bad car, because the customer will bring it back and complain until they get the issue resolved. A customer CAN trade a bad car in and the car dealer cant go to the customer and complain to get the issue resolved. Who's the least ethical?
Ответитьwhats your opinion on 2017-2019 outbacks with a 2.5i?
ОтветитьHola no hablo inglés pero tengo una fuga de aceite por dónde usted indica como se puede solucionar y a qué se debe

ОтветитьHay I had a question
I had bought a 2016 Subaru cross track from Rich Ford and Albuquerque New Mexico and noticed many things afterwards that they were able to hide from me. They were in Plainview then I was in a hurry dude other circumstances long story short my car has a few issues like it’s leaking oil where the filter is a nuts tightened all the way down , I was told possibly PVC valve but I replaced that and I also noticed on the other side there’s also a leak I’ve only had the car a couple months I only drive it a few miles a day if that
It's years since I did a HG replacement on a car. As I remember, it wasn't too difficult a job. Is it a lot more tricky on modern engines? Am asking because I'm wondering whether to replace it on my 120K-mile Nissan as routine/preventative maintenance.
ОтветитьGreat tips, I think you mentioned a multi-layer head gasket? I used a metal multi-layer metal head gasket on my turbocharged Mustang, Kinitics I think manufacturer? It this an option
ОтветитьGlad I found you! Thanks you very much for your time and all the video's. There are very helpful!! Grtz, Boyd Amsterdam
ОтветитьMy Forrester was leaking oil on top of the engine, I used some dye and found that the oil was coming from the oil pressure sender.
ОтветитьThank you so much is it easy to change gaskets
ОтветитьGreat vid
ОтветитьMy subaru has 180,000 miles and the head gasket seems to be fine. The valve cover gaskets are fucked though.
ОтветитьI have a 01 Legacy GT limited 5speed and the shifter has a lot of slop in it and when i got it you try to put her in 5 and you can feel the gate but no connection, and i have since lost 4th also. Any ideas??? Please help!!! Ima good shade tree, but all i know bout trannyz is remove and replace!
ОтветитьCan I ask you a question about my Subie?
ОтветитьThank you for the "heads" up. LOL
ОтветитьGreat Informational, Thank You Sir!
ОтветитьThis could've been a 2 minute video.
ОтветитьNew subscriber here, really liked your informative video. Question about head gasket. How can you tell the upgraded head gasket from the other? Thank you again for the great content!
ОтветитьCan Subaru NOT make the engines last any longer? Is it because of the boxer style engine?
ОтветитьDid Subaru fix the head gasket problem? If so, what year was it corrected.
ОтветитьJust paid 4500 for a Subaru impreza 07 with 200,000 miles. Did I get ripped off?
ОтветитьYou cover a lot of 05-09 outback 2.5(I) series how about the 3.0 H6 series. I need insight on a similar video you have done with the prop shaft. Mine is making a shake at hill inclines and up until 4th gear. Any ideas? I have checked the ATF dex 3 fluid and the motor is strong. I'm going to check the 75w-90 front differential fluid. And go from there.
ОтветитьThose people who make a business out of buying cars they don't need, to sell them to people that do need them, at inflated prices, aren't "businessmen", they're peddlers & parasites. People with no appreciable skills of their own, who contribute nothing to society, they just live by parasitizing everyone else's labor and skills.
ОтветитьIf I had watched this video before I bought my Subaru Forester I would have caught all of this. After 1 month of owning it I had all these symptoms. I ended up buying a whole brand new OEM long block and pretty much everything else and rebuilt it. Very good video!
ОтветитьHow can the cooling system over pressurize? When the rad cap has a relief spring? My 2 Subarus would push the coolant into the overflow
ОтветитьI'll stick with Toyota, thanks
ОтветитьWhat is a big bill?
ОтветитьYour are the GOD of Subarus I know I go by your every rule! Although another thing believe it or not that can pool oil on top is a oil pressure sensor/switch, my moms 2012 Outback SOHC EJ25 just hit 125,000 miles and head gaskets went out like my 2008 went at 110k. Anyways about 7k miles after I changed her head gaskets she came by I did a once over and notice a nice pool of oil. Turns out the sensor in front of the EJ25 stamp can leak a considerable amount of oil if not looking at your engine enough. Just wanted to add that, but like I said your the Subaru GOD! Have a good day everyone!
ОтветитьMy Subie is in the shop right now getting his head gaskets done again at 215,000 miles. I got combustion pressure that would keep my overflow full, not the other way. I think I caught this early. I've always pulled over quickly when I would see the temperature gauge rise; I'm a gauge watcher from being a helicopter pilot in the past. I never had the pressure that your poor car has. This is as usual a very informative video. I am learning tons of info! Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks! I went to see a 2008 Forester with 145K miles. The owner said it leaked some oil. I opened the oil fill cap and noticed it had a little coolant in there. I passed on it as they wanted pretty much premium for private party sale and I would have to pay $$$ for a head gasket replacement. Thanks for your videos!
ОтветитьSounds like they are all ticking time bombs.
ОтветитьAwesome info
ОтветитьYou are very informative. Can a defective VVT selonoid cause over heating?
ОтветитьHas Subaru re-designed the head gasket problem with the 2023 Subaru 2.5? If so, are they reliable now past the 120,000 mile mark? Thanks
ОтветитьCustomers lie far more than small used car dealers. Thanks for the hints.
ОтветитьWhen did Subaru up grade the head gaskets?
ОтветитьWhy didn't you show the two types of gaskets Bro? Very thorough video- thanks! I am an 83 yr old Loyale bush buggy fan !
ОтветитьMerci beaucoup.
Ответитьmy 08 2.5i is sitting pretty at 212k miles with no issues and , wait for it, The factory original timing kit. I know, you think im lying. But im not. I should replace it, but i really want to see how much further this thing can go before the valves smooch the pistons. Imma play matchmaker.
ОтветитьGood info.
ОтветитьIf the car starts and you are aloud to start it (if they don’t let you start it red flag) start it pull the oil fill cap off if there’s smoke/no pressure when you put you hand over it it’s another good sign there’s something really wrong with it
ОтветитьThanks. Can you do a video on installing curtains airbags? Subaru 15 thru 19 sedan????
ОтветитьI'm new to your videos. Thank you for what you do. Just purchased 2012 Outback base model w 98K miles. Having local mechanic check it out though supposedly timing belt and many other things have been already replaced. Fingers crossed it was all done properly. Will check your other videos and thank you for your expertise!
ОтветитьThe issue with top rad hose being super hot and lower hose drastically cooler is my problem. I am worried my engine is going to overheat and cause big problems.
My question is, is this only caused by blown head gasket or could it be something else.
Faulty tstat? If there is an air lock preventing tstat from opening can I burp the system to release air pocket. Is air in the system only caused by blown head gasket?
Wondering if I should just replace the tstat. 2015 subaru forester 2.5L auto. 180,000kms.
Please help!
Easy solution everyone. Buy a new one, they aren’t expensive !
ОтветитьThanks!!!
ОтветитьI absolutely loved my Subaru Outback once it was repaired. I'm actually watching your video because I'm considering another used Subie after my Nissan was destroyed.
When I got my Outback, the headgasket was blown, and the shady seller successfully fooled me. I looked for fluid leaks. I looked for signs of exhaust in the coolant, and coolant in the oil. What this jackbutt did change all the fluids, cleaned the block, and stick it in the showroom. I was a bit naive to think putting it in the show room was a good sign.
