Awesome video man! The only drawback after building it is the Pilgrim and Nomad dont fit through the opening. The roof panels sit just a little bit too low, no problems with the Roamer getting through, though.

Im gonna be honest, Ive heard/watched alot of different robotic voice creators in the means of finding tutorials for somthing, but you Double Dash Gaming really do go above and beyond in your tutorials while also having cool and highly interchangeable build tutorials that suit the needs of literally anybody's next base, i feel as though you put in huge amounts of effort and even though your not actually speaking in these vids your writing is unbelievable, each script is consistently to the point while, Also making connections to the audience with sharing common struggles and also in the way you write out your video's makes your content particularly unique and somthing i look forward to with every video. I did use the garage doors. I used the resize glitch you taught us on it to make them 2 times larger by stacking 2 lockers on top of each other and resizing the 3rd one to be the same height as them and using that to do the glitch on the doors. I also had to change the roof in the front because it was too low. Now I have three perfect size garage doors that open and close with proxy.

Man i wish someone can see my base but because I didn't know how build terrain edits work, I went over 3000 not knowing that building into the terrain counts, but not the walls, stairs and decorations and other things if I build without messing with the terrain ... I am now reworking my base so it does not mess with the terrain as much and I have more space to work with it and so I am able to upload it to the server. ... I want people to come see, it is basically a fake settlement I am building next to a portal.

There's a glitch to upsize garage doors

No matter how I try no the floor panel always goes crooked.

Great work man, love creative builds. But I do wish that glitch building wasn't so heavily used, it just means that the devs response to it is 'oh look how creative they are' and just never ever fix or improve their games to allow those possibilities without using glitches.

This looks amazing! I've been trying to get inspiration for my builds to make them cooler. This is probably incorrect on my part, but I think there were some steps you could have cut out without having issues achieving the same thing, just added more work- but the building parts can be such a pain. Especially if you build on slightly different heights and can't connect floor levels 😅 don't stop!! Stay awesome.

Frankly I detest people who build bases around portals and other “in game” buildings. If you’re going to do it at least allow edits. I’ve been caught inside a building after traversing a portal twice now and it really p….d me off. The one I couldn’t even get to the base computer to report it!
Its almost as bad as the idiots who build bases on rendezvous points in expeditions. 🤬🤬🤬

As to your build I don’t get why you wire glitched the ramps at the rear (by the exocraft terminal room)
If you’d left them as normal ramps you could have filled in beneath with sloping walls! 🤷🏼‍♂️

The method for getting the ramp built is brilliant! I've been struggling with trying to figure out how to get something like that done. I like NMS but man do you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get construction to do what you want.

My grandfather always used to say, the foundation of a strong structure is deleting the walls.

Your voice sounds like a computer and I dont like it

I will have to invest in that one plant for lighting it really seemed to help. I tend to put the small rectangle plate light on the bottom of walls its a nice accent. Also to help with lighting I tend to use the wooden all glass wall alot. Natural light seems to brighten up the space a lot. For some reason when you put all the walls down it makes it dark. So to make it seem more roomie and fix lighting I will make rooms 2 wall high with the top wall made of glass or arches. Also using a roof that has glass on it lets in so much light. Just an idea at least. I really like watch house making videos and been trying really hard to make better bases and still function. I never tried glitch building before but it would be nice to see a video just showing slowly each technique if there is more then one and then maybe some images of like examples of after product. Also one question I made a house in a floating stone thingy on a world. I blasted away the rumble so I could build and its all perfect. I notice if I run around to fast though its back then disappears it getting worse the further underground I am. But when someone comes visit my house I notice everything gets messed up. Normally they say they see me run into dirt and I can see them walk on invisble earth that is not there. after a while all the dirt is back and everywhere someone else goes it does this. But when i am at the house alone nothing happens it stays gone. Why is this? Oh another idea not sure if there is any out there. But do you know where there might be some cool race tracks? :D

One thing I would say to anyone intending to build around a portal is to remember that no player can claim a portal so please don’t block exit or entrance by other players. I went through a portal last week and found a stone wall right in front of me. My ship had loaded right through it. Perfectly fixable of course but inconsiderate in my opinion.

I totally agree about the lighting issue. I spend little time in any of my bases or even the space stations because of the horrible lighting, it gives me eyestrain headaches! I’m enjoying these tutorials despite the occasional odd stumble of the auto reader! 😊

The glitching and techniques are great, overall execution on final touches were a bit too sloppy, like the technician room, the decorations, the lighting in general and the arches. I still learned something here and will try out these techniques for sure.

To bad the normal walls, floors and ceilings can not be used under water or can they? I really do not like the disconnected look of the underwater modules with the hallways between them.

So far I found that if you remove plants and dirt from your build parts at the end of a build and then upload your base the dirt and plants will not come back. Just remember if you make any changes to the base you will need to upload the base when you are finished, even adding table will cause problems if you do not redo the upload.

After you removed the center triangles, you could add a small wall downwards from the square floor tile, then add a triangle back to the bottom of the small wall. The tip of the triangle would have been the center of your floor, and you wouldn’t have had to use the lines on the square floor tile.

When the TTS speaks to me on such a personal level. 😶

Just started playing the game on PS5. How the hell you zoom out like that on consoles ?

Great video however this appears to not be working now. The power lines do not allow anything to be built on top of them. They just pass through . I'm on PC perhaps I am doing something wrong. I thought maybe the buildable node that makes all power lines invisible had something to do with it but still no joy. Anyone else running into this issue?

Really great vid and tutorial! One thing I noticed was that my exocrafts keep disappearing or spawning with a slight misalignment whenever the base loads. Have you noticed this as well? I’m not sure if it is because the exocrafts are loading before the floor tiles or if it’s because of something else

one thing I always fight with is terrain regeneration after building, any tips there? I mean in working with it to one's advantage after regeneration, it worked in your case to look natural.

Hi, I love your videos and use them to build my bases. However I avoid glitching slope panels because no matter how many times I try, they always end up at an angle regardless of material used. It really frustrates me as it looks so easy in your videos. Would you mind doing a quick vid for people with a toddler brain like myself to show us where exactly the wires need to be on the dot so the ramps etc. snap neatly like yours? Thank you 😊
