ОтветитьIt should be mentioned that the driving force behind virtualization was the maximization of resource utilization. A single server running a single OS might only use a very small fraction of the resources like CPU cycles, memory space or hard drive space. Loading several virtual machines on a single host you can be utilizing most of the resources at the same time. So a single piece of hardware could replace several pieces of hardware.

ОтветитьCiao Will, the entire tutorial is very clear, making me understand well the Hyper-V object. One question now: what is the exact logical / functional relation between Hyper-V and Microsoft Azure? The latter contains the former somehow? Because when you explain the way Hyper-V creates 'software computers' that doesn't sound that different from what you can also do directly from Azure. Hope you can clarify. Many thanx.
