this is a really good video.
ОтветитьWhich college majot studies this type of electronics and studies programing and electerical circuts at the same time
ОтветитьHow steps work isn't intuitive
ОтветитьWhy does steppers motors drives use dinamic frecuency square signal instead of normal pwm to be controled?
Ответитьgive me something easy to understand.... pfff!
Ответить@greatscottlab >>> 👍👍
ОтветитьI have a micro stepper motor around 6mm in length and 4mm wide. I don't know how much current It draws, but could I run it off the Arduino pins directly? Should I have some sort of protection? if so it would need to be very small for my application. Thanks
ОтветитьThe torque is also degreased significantly when micro-stepping as well as more heating.
ОтветитьNice one
ОтветитьCan you help me on project?
Maybe,just take look?
Can I send you via email my project.
Thanks upfront
can you please show a little bit of detail of all the connections that you have made.
it will be of great help.
i found a stepper motor in an old printer , on the data sheet its need 34 volts to run , so i wired it up to the 28BYJ-48 driver which is support up to 50 volts ,,,, and the otor burns it
ОтветитьNice handwriting my guy.
ОтветитьI wiring diagram
ОтветитьI need a relatively small motor, preferably DC, with enough torque to lift approximately 10 ft pounds of pressure, rotate half way, and then reverse direction, rotate half way, then reverse direction again, repeating this cycle over and over again, and it be able to run continuously like this for several hours at a time. It's for an animatronic prop.
ОтветитьThis guy connecting this breadboard mess probably with his eyes closed and here I am taking 2 hours to try and reverse a stepper motor direction... LOL
ОтветитьCool video! Well done! I have a 28 VDC stepper motor with three coils do you have a recommendation to what driver to use?
ОтветитьHey what're u doin.. I've no idea .. but ur writing is great 😄
Respect from Muslims
Had a problem with one of my stepper motors on my 3d printer . It's a 42 38
It was skipping . Opened it up and a small chunk of plastic got in there . It works fine now .
me in 2016 : controlling with and without a microcontroller, the "with" is understandable, but my mind declines to understand the "without part".
me in 2022 "re-watching the video" : that makes sense
Dear GreatScott, I'm an Electrical Engineer and unfortunately I didn't learn about stepper motors in my graduation. It's really amazing!
ОтветитьLink for troubleshooting a stepper motor. My z stepper motors I can easily stop by lite hand grip.
Ответитьthe Great Scott Always a pleasure watching your videos always comprehensive and fulfilling amazing. Keep on Going you are The BEST <3 <3
ОтветитьHis breakdown of how the stepper motor works and the basic circuitry used to make nit run through its basic configurations is amazing. I am subscribing for the pure fact that it gets me in touch with the basics I learned over 40 years ago. Great job.

ОтветитьThank you lord scott!
ОтветитьAre there more some Like Buttons to click?
ОтветитьGreat Work . Can i ask u how to fixe the motor in one position after rotation
ОтветитьNothing gained
ОтветитьScott please help me I don't know how to run my 26BC 6A 107101 BLDC motor it has six wire. I tried Arduino forum but didn't get help I hope you will help me, you are my only hope thank you.
ОтветитьThis is awful.
ОтветитьI had a blast making a driver for the stepper... i think i used bc538 if i remember correctly
ОтветитьThis is the best way a new student learning Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering master the basics, by examining or case studying what was already professionally designed and built, manufactured a practical save working device by Senior Professional Engineers.
ОтветитьCan this motor make electricity
Ответитьhey scott i want this arduino code plz send
ОтветитьDo i get a this moter for rotery encoder
ОтветитьThanks for sharing what you have learned
ОтветитьAmazing..!!👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Ответитьsir free wheeling diodes are there for switching operation??????????????????????????????????? As far as I do not see them
ОтветитьWhat arduino board did you use to build the stepper motor driver? Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьBetter way is use capacitors frequency divider of 60 hertz input
ОтветитьCan you please help me to make a code for DMX stapper motor with optical encoder
ОтветитьYou should use one of those wires that you can strip instead of jumper wires. It makes the connection WAAAY neater. And people could actually look at what you hooked up.
Ответитьgreat video
ОтветитьThe last month I had a lesson about step motors and ESP32 , and my teachers didn’t mind to explain something like this , he was just like “use the librerys “
And I got a little bit disappointed
But you just cheer me up with this video
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
