I can relate my name is spelt Sveinn but pronounced Svade(just like Shade just replace the sh sound with an sv sound)

It confuses Germans also.
I always thought it's was spelled Dom-hall. Like Dominic.
Now I've learned it's like the scottish version of Donal (its sounds a bit like Donald without ending)

In Irish, the "mh" is often pronounced like a "v" (as in Niamh, pronounced "Neev" or "Nee-of"), so I always pronounced his name Dov-null. Ah, well. Whatever the pronunciation, this is a beautiful, beautiful man.
