When I use floss picks to floss I go below the gum line and try to hug the tooth, something I also do just to make sure I got it is to use the floss pick things at the bottom of some floss picks which I’d helpful for the harder to reach stuff and I think it helps with messaging the gums more and im working on flossing and brushing both morning and night, it still hurts and my gums are in pain which didn’t start until I started brushing and flossing but I know it’s cuz I barely brush and floss and that’s why it hurts now and that my gums won’t be in pain in at least 2 weeks, maybe longer cuz idk yet but that’s what I’ve heard but I go it will go away when I’m consistent, one thing I recently learned is that when you brush your supposed to brush your teeth we’re your gums are cuz that’s were plaque is and I found out that when you floss you have to also floss the last tooth which I didn’t know the last one till watching the video

Wait question.. is thr floss supposed to be able to go up into the gum? Like.. when you're flossing the tops where your gum starts. I always thought that meant I had weak gums from not flossing enough. Is that actually normal?

How come they don’t make floss picks with some extra slack so you can hook around the teeth?

I tryed floss picks , found them extrely awkward in my small mouth. No room to turn, no u turns, just awkward and not the right match for my small mouth. Interesting concept though.

Out of 32 years of life, 0 cavities and I use a floss pick over traditional floss. My hands are too big and make it hard to floss normally. It works. Also I've never had a problem with bending the pick to hug the tooth. Never needed the pick to be flexible...

floss picks are all I can use. traditional floss is too hard for me in my small mouth and big ole fingers. I make sure to wrap around the tooth as much as possible and I water floss twice a week too.

Hi Whitney
Last week I had a dentist check up and she was very pleased as my teeth looked very clean and I don't need another check for 6 months.
Thank you very much for your great videos including flossing and how to use an electric toothbrush ... and many others.
Thank you again for being our dental angel on earth 😊 👼👏

Won’t it damage the tooth? I flossed one time then the wire got stuck on my mouth. I cut the wire then I was able to take it off. Then after that I’ve been feeling tingling/sensitivity when I drink cold drinks.

Great video! I use floss picks just the way you demonstrated, "hugged"(i'm autistic with fine motor skill issues). I'm a dental assistant who loves your videos 😊
Recently I saw a new product-concentrated mouthwash 😃 I'd love if you did a video reviewing those and their efficacy vs. traditional mouthwash. It seems like a great idea for long-term travel (when 3 oz wouldn't last the entire trip), but it's only worth it if it actually helps gum health and such. Thanks!

Find these hard to use in the back teeth almost have to put your fist in your mouth to get to it where as string floss you easily reach with your fingers the picks are just too small
