I've been playing Skyrim for the first time this week and, well, this is weirdly accurate.

Y’know. I know it’s not what we were here for, and I know it’s not very great for ad rev, but I got quite a bit of satisfaction from Yahtzee tell off ‘ol JK

There is also the dogshit politics in the game. Oh the goblins are evil because they do violens, we wouldnt never do a violens, they said while murdering all the goblins nonviolently.

One of the saddest parts of this is thar by going for the 'Jiminy C#$%throat' model, they robbed themselves of a chance to take all the clashing elements of this game's design and make several games of similar size but tighter focus. Hogwarts Legacy as magic Bully, but you can still keep the background intrigue and plot, just with less lethal combat, as that's practically a Hogwarts tradition by now, then a game about protecting magic animals from poachers by kidnapping them to your own personal zoo, possibly breeding them to help you rescue all their friends, maybe even a game about being a magical police-man where it'd actually make SENSE for you to be fighting off this Mongol horde of enemies, and yhat's your Open-World if it's that important to you.

There, I just described no less than three games that they could have made out of the different parts they shoved into this one, and they'd all probably be better than this one.

Game would be even better, if it didn't have to throw in modern day issues at you every single time the characters speak
