Talk to your friend Sandi Brock in Canada. She did cattle before she did indoor sheep farming!
ОтветитьWhen our cows would get close to calving my dad would walk behind them to see which ones were closer. The cows had been in the barn through the winter and we had turned them out onto green grass. But we had some silage to finish off. They would come up yo the barn for that. After being on green grass they were a bit loose. One of them coughed as my dad passed behind her. She painted a green silowet on that whitewashed wall. The perfect outline of my dad. Oh I didn't laugh or anything, wink, wink!
ОтветитьYour brave Cammy taking on cows are you going to milk the cows
ОтветитьCammy cows are so protective of there calf’s and they will attack you if you go near them
ОтветитьIf that's for cows ant they recommend 3 bolts ya better put in 3 bolts. They'll get to rubbing on it and you fountsin will be broken.
ОтветитьJock and Angus was helping fix the water troughs in your other video there good boys
ОтветитьYour trough looks similar to dalscone
ОтветитьI've ordered one of the new beef game hats Cam x
ОтветитьBoss you need to sale sheep game cups with your red sheep logo as well as other cups with some of your sayings like ‘some buzz’
ОтветитьA boy Cammy another good video 👍.
Really enjoyed this video.
I get a laugh at your d.i.y stuff, rough & ready but effective 😂
Great video Cammy thank you. Those cows look great im looking forward to seeing how you go with them. I hope lambing is going well and the weather is kind to you this year. It's great to see you getting set up at home with the sheep indoors. im sure it's going to make life much easier. Hope all is going well. Take care and see you all again soon 💜
ОтветитьHi Cammy, in Australia usually lambs are sold as shorn lambs and wooly suckers and usually shorn lambs will attract a higher price than wooly lambs. They definitely do better when they’ve been shorn, as they can put more effort into gaining weight and laying on fat rather than growing wool.
ОтветитьToo fast talking, much too fast cameramovement, too much talking, too less content.
ОтветитьI love watching you install things, you’re never too scared to give it a try! Those are sure nice gentle cows. Love seeing you mix and mingle with people at the auctions. Great video Cammy! ❤❤
Ответить🇨🇦 we have Holsteins. We’re dairy farmers. One time I was wandering in the barnyard and a heifer came away from the herd and came to me very aggressively. I yelled at her to back down then I shoved my fingers into her eyes but she didn’t back down. She pushed me into the ground and stepped on me. I had a hoof print on my tshirt. My screaming alerted the rest of the family. My son came running , but by then I had managed to climb onto the closest fence . He chased her away. This was super unusual but shook me up good! That being said it’s unusual but be careful Cammy.

I remember talking to a fella about his system after I returned a ranaway lamb I found in the woods when walking my dog. Asking why it was sheared as it seemed pretty late in the year for that.
He said the same thing about them getting to put more weight on.
He said he doesn't know why but he thinks its a few things and one is it keeps them warmer so they burn less calories.
He said when you look at self molting breeds they often don't have as thick coats and do fine so its not like they need all that wool on them to insulate themselves.
He said that sheep kept short are able to give a shake when wet and get excess water off pretty quickly but if their coats too long they trap the wet in meaning its harder to insulate themselves as well so have to burn more calories to heat themselves up.
Also he thinks the extra weight of the wool means when moving they're burning more calories then moving around without it. He said its like if I walked around all day every day with a 15kg backpack. I'm gonna loose more weight walking the same distance then I would without it.
He thinks this effect is even more dramatic when you combine it. Weight from the wool, further increased weight when it gets wet and then burning more calories to heat themselves when wet.
I don't know how true this reasoning is and neither did he that's just some guesses he thinks. All that he does know is shearing when finishing helps his number's.
And he don't care why he just cares that it does 🤣😂
Gooood morning cow fans, Cammys the name. Beefs the game !
ОтветитьI love your channel but I have a questions for your viewers. Does anyone else have difficulty following the dialogue? I have found out that if I slow down the playback to .75 speed. That really helps.
ОтветитьI like your how you work in your farm I want to be your apprentice and I want to Learn from you sheep farm please let me know looking forward to hearing from you I am from Lancashire
ОтветитьThat break down was really interesting Cammie. Well done. Very interesting video again. 👍
ОтветитьMeasure twice and cut once lol
ОтветитьGreat mixed video Cammy.😊
Can you get
" Melton Mobary Lamb Pies" ?
😊😅😊
It's nice to see your cows are getting used to you and their new surroundings. They look content, fat, and happy. I'm happy that sending your lambs away to fatten worked for you. The old saying: "Watch your pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves." is so true. Nice to meet your vet. He seems very knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to calving season!
ОтветитьCan you make a barrow of shekels buying feed in for cattle?
Ответитьlol, I had to turn the subtitles on today 🙂
ОтветитьLosing 10 big lambs in transport is cause for alarm, did the trucking company over stuff them into the trailer?
ОтветитьGreat video Cammy as always the lambs done very well 👌
ОтветитьWhen a sheep dies and you get to it soon, do you butcher it for yourself or is it gone too bad for that? 🤨 And if too bad for eating, what do you do with it? Sell to dog food makers? Compost it? Drop it off in the middle of the night in the front yard of your arch-enemy?😉😂🤣
Ответить399K SUBSCRIBERS !!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe Rough Operator song 😂
ОтветитьThe water containers look like little toilet bowls. Very small. Lol
ОтветитьCammy use hexi bolts for concrete. You want 6mm sds concrete bit remember when fixing to concrete your sds width has to be the same as the bolt for a nice tight stony fit. I was a window fitter for 7 years now and farmer 😂😂
ОтветитьReally good news about lamb sales and decision sending them down with Tom’s help. Fantastic Cammy.❤️🕊️🇦🇺🇬🇧
ОтветитьThe Cows you bought are okay but what are your plans for them??? I’m interested to know. Kiwi Shayne in the UK . 🥰
ОтветитьChuffed to see Dr. Allen again. I've been a fan of his since he did the cesarean on your ewe. He is always willing to talk and gives understandable explanations to you (and us). And he's a dapper dresser. This time we learned that when he leaves his animal patients for the day, he goes home to more animals.
ОтветитьHi calm and Liz when are your lambs due this year will you be doing a daily blog with your sheep lambing
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьWhy yas clipping them at market ?
ОтветитьYour never going to feed them cows if there due end of the month! There fat enough now and it will only make the calves bigger
ОтветитьYour never fully prepared for anything when it comes to animals 😂
ОтветитьYou can’t be afraid of cows, if you can’t get over that, then you need to quit them.
ОтветитьLove your videos, always relaxing and educational to watch.
ОтветитьAlways a song from the 80's.
ОтветитьI have diffinitly missed a great deal of your adventures!
Did you purchase a new farm? What prompted the purchase of the cows?
Evidently you and Lizzy don't have enough to do! You know there are only 24 hours in a day! Or are the days in Scotland longer by chance,!😅
The boys are growing so fast, it seems like only yesterday that Jock was born on my Birthday! How do the boys feel about their sister? Can't wait to see her in action! I bet she will give them a run run for their money!!
Won't take up any more of your time, carry on!!
Hi, from Northern California !!❤
