If you start of with an 8 knot there will be less stress on the knot, but also les opening in the loop. Always finish with tripple albrigt.

just use a split ring and tie a normal knot

There is a better way to tie this knot. If you’re right handed, hold the lure in your left hand so you can manipulate the tag end with your right, whilst adjusting the loop size with your left thumb and forefinger. Most important, if you finish the knot a bit differently, the trimmed tag faces back towards the lure and doesn’t pick up weed. Experiment.

I ll skip this as most of the time i m using ultralight setup that has 2lb & 4lb braid & mono spooled. I rather use snap instead 😆.

Good knot but you messed up the tag end if you leave it longer and tucked back through the eye it doesn’t catch any weed 👌

And on my jerk baits I just don’t run the knot close to the eye I leave 5 or 6 inch gap and u get more side to side less forward

Here in the south och sweden we use fast attach bait locks to the perch and zander. Always braided line and a palomar knot to the paw with flourocarbone

I’ve always tied that knot and was told it’s the rapala knot since it give the lure good movement

Just tied a complicated fisherman’s knot just do that same process at the end and i bet it’ll be stronger too
