Have to say I like this a hell of a lot more than the Thin Lizzy song of the same title. But that's just me.

“Jailbreak” (1976) is about Mark Brandon Reid, a.k.a. “Chopper,” who was sent to jail for murdering a gang leader. He got sentenced to 16 years. Three years into his sentence, along with his friend and crime partner Jimmy Loughnan, Reid planned an escape, but both were caught and given solitary for two weeks. That was tantamount to being in hell, especially for Loughnan who suffered from claustrophobia, an utter fear of tight spaces❗️

AC/DC Bon Scott read about this in the newspaper 🗞️ and immediately started writing lyrics for a criminal-themed song : “Jailbreak.”

The band made a high-end performance video for this, showing the boys playing on a bunch of rocks as various explosions went on around them❕💚🤬💙
