Marketers everywhere complain about "freebie seekers". They see "freebie seekers" as people who subscribe to an email list only to get the free gift (lead magnet) being offered.
What they forget is that these are PE0PLE! People with needs. People with dreams. People who need hope.
Yes, they may be people who *need* something free right now.
And yes, they may only want the free thing ... today.
But if you cultivate a win-win relationship with them they will transform before your eyes into something much more than a "freebie seeker"
They will transform into a customer.
Which one of us has not joined a list ONLY to get the free gift?
I plead guilty. Do you?
So let's not judge the freebie seeker. Rather, let's nurture that person with helpful content that elevates them as they consume it and elevates you as share it.
To succeed with this method you will need to make three changes.
1. Don't put freebie seekers on your main list yet.
2. Develop a follow up system that uses a "baby steps" method to move them along the path of success.
3. Be aware of, and responsive to, the actions they take while they are on your "development" list.
Happily, this can all be done with your autoresponder.
