I love the hemi the coyote and the ls ,these engines are reasonably cheap to build plentiful and all 3 respond very well to boost all exceeding 1000 hp and gobs of torque without try very hard ,I am still a 60s early 70s muscle car era engine guy,but new technology 👏 is saweet,sweet, in the early 70s it wasent cheap easy or a reliable time for building a steet car engine that would go 40 to 60 thousand miles without breaking a sweat like today but that era will always have a place in my cast iron heart,but um now addicted to aluminum titanium and digital control with boost of choice,lol

My dad's old 2012 F-150 had the 5.0 Coyote. That thing was one pissed off engine. Very fast. I'd say one engine to put here is the old Ford 460 Big Block (7.5). Those engines did not have much HP, but you could pull a continent out of place with one of those. Probably one of the only V8 engines to be a decent substitute for a Diesel engine.

Ls is by far my favorite no crazy chains and guides not ridiculously wide aka the hemi small simple powerful as hell and sounds beautiful and can't forget the simplicity and budget friendliness my silverado with an ls based engine has 230k flawless trouble free miles burns no oil when the truck rots in half that engine is getting put into something badass

My favorite v8 is the chevy 350 small block, my dad has an el Camino with the original engine and it has at least 400000 miles on the engine, as i said that is at least and there are so many replacement parts you can get, its not just the most common v8 but its also the most common engine in the world.

I never understood how GM, Ford, and Chevy. Make some of the most un relaible cars. But for some reason, some of the most badass engines. For racing, drifting, and more. The is a reason most drift cars dont have Japanese machines, but American ones, Crazy.

Remember the jaguar ajV8, also a great engine.

my engine choice is the 3UR-FE or the vortec 4800. id go for both

Another favorite has to be the Predator v8 from Indy Cylinder Heads.

You skipped over the Gen 2 Hemi, they can make 7,000 HP in top fuel, more than any other engine ever made. They also ran over 200 MPH in NASCAR back in 1970.
