Don’t sleep on Dinkum for planting mics
ОтветитьThe only mic mention was a “gun shot” mic….
….there was me thinking the list would be with loads of mics.
Want to swap your Ambient QP-6200 Jumbo Boom for my Sound Devices 552? ;-)
ОтветитьWow! Just came across your channel after taking two Videomantis courses and gaining more interest in audio. As an indie, no budget filmmaker this has been quite enlightening. Thank you for sharing your experiences!
ОтветитьWhy don't you include Zeppelins in your boom kit?
ОтветитьJust switched to ambient poles from panamic what is your standard maintenance process? would you be able to cover this?
ОтветитьWe love your channel. Subscribed, and binge-watching your catalog!
ОтветитьLove your videos - absolutely spot on as always!
ОтветитьWho do you consider your mentor?
ОтветитьThanks for posting this video. I can see how my kit is different from yours.
ОтветитьHaving your own tools for any job is a good sign of professionalism. It generally shows that you care about your job, and that you're considerate of your client's material resources and time. It's always going to make you stand out from your competition. This was a great video, and the cost/ kit rental negotiation side was really interesting. It would be great if you did some tips and tricks for car plants, and all sorts of plants. It would also be cool if you discussed different gunshot mic options. Keep up the great work, your videos are really informative.
ОтветитьIt’s important you have the fundamental tools of your trade. I have two boom poles on my kit available for my crew which they are welcome to use because the production is renting it from me. However if I was a boom op as my craft I’d have all the tools. I also worked with you recently and was very impressed that you had your own shock mounts.
Ответитьperhaps a Boom operator kit review next time? that's what i thought this video would be about, good information to know though, keep up the good work.
