Heath Baldwin Skips NCAAs, Wins Olympic Trials Decathlon

Heath Baldwin, a senior at Michigan State, won the men's decathlon title with a lifetime-best 8,625 points at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Oregon. Baldwin elevated from 8,470 points on April 17-18 at the 64th Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., ascending to the No. 13 all-time American competitor.
