Should've shown the scene where Jennifer Lawrence said "You think I'm crazier than you." and laugh like a psycho. That one was beyond masterclass.

Still to this day I get goosebumps from that Joker scene. One of the greatest scenes in cinema history. Rip Heath Ledger

I'm not the least bit of a superhero type of person but I swear, Heath Ledger in that movie made me watch Dark Knight over 5O times and still. To. This. Day. LOVE IT!
That man was a legendary actor in EVERY role he's ever played. The
I truly believe the reason the Joker movie we all love today with Joaquin-- just as legendary-- was able to be what it was. Breath made the Joker , THAT Joker. He made us see and want the Joaquin version movie of it. Butterfly 🦋 effect , i think. 😊 I hope Heath is at the peace he's earned. 💙🩵

Out of all these the winner 1st heath ledger ( when you see all the other actors performance just thinking that theyre acting takes away the magic of the performance but heath ledger as the joker no matter how much i see or listen how much i wanna convince myself that he's just acting i cant seem to the kind of insanity and mania his charecter is showing is masking the actor completely its terrifying i think the makeup plays a role in this coz i dint think itll have the same impact without the makeup ive seen the dark knight so many times and that scene where he claps inside the jail cell looking at us the veiwer its genuinely terrifying

Rami Malek is an an excellent actor but did not deserve the oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody. That film didn't deserve any oscar awards it's a dime a dozen generic biopic for casual fans with an inflated budget. It was tampered and ruined to be fit for the masses because the living band members didn't want to produce a true & honest R-Rated film of their history. Love & Mercy is a far superior biopic and the academy ignored it for whatever reason.

Cate Blanchett's performance as a really unlikeable woman slowly going insane always breaks my heart. I watched that movie when I was quite young. I used to look at homeless, dirty people who talks to themselves with fear and disgust instead of empathy. Movies teach us stuff.

I love how positive all the comments are. No one saying how one performance is bad or anything. This compilation just shows how incredible film is as a part of the human experience. All these films and performances bring our different yet similar experiences and perspectives from all of us and they should all be celebrated. This is why the actors and writers strikes are so important right now. These creatives have the right to demand more pay and respect from the studios so we can continue to receive this part of the human experience.

Mahershala Ali as Juan has to be one of the best supporting roles in a movie. He solidified his character in the span of 30 minutes hell even lesser than that and then his absence throughout the rest of the movie is profoundly felt.

So many non-US actors that are outstanding! Daniel Day-Lewis, Olivia Colman, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron, Kate Blanchett, Christopher Plummer, Helen Mirren, Marion Cottilard, Rachel Weisz, Lupita Nyong'o, Russell Crowe, and many more I forgot. I really like that they are getting an Oscar, despite the fact that they're not American.

Noticeable lack of performances from horror, sci-fi and fantasy films - yet is arguably a greater achievement in acting to create a convincing and engaging character in an intangible reality then it is to convince as a human in a human world. Discuss...

Eh. Most of these are non unique. Just actors playing the same character in hats too much like themselves - a personality easily accessible for them. But a few - Ledger, Monique, Simmons, Day Lewis, Davis, and Janey - do something more. They lose themselves entirely and only a new character remains. In everyone else I can’t help but see the actor.
