I watched all of these and am now gay.
ОтветитьShould've shown the scene where Jennifer Lawrence said "You think I'm crazier than you." and laugh like a psycho. That one was beyond masterclass.
ОтветитьStill to this day I get goosebumps from that Joker scene. One of the greatest scenes in cinema history. Rip Heath Ledger
ОтветитьToni should have won for her dinner table scene in hereditary
Ответитьstill trying to comprehend why Laura Dern won the oscar.
ОтветитьWinslet should have won in Eternal Sunshine
ОтветитьKate Winslet’s restrained performance in the reader is a masterclass in acting.
Ответитьstill find it crazy how Matthew McConaughey didnt get the oscar for Interstelar, Jake Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler and chiefly Jim Caviezel for the the passion of the Christ
ОтветитьI'm not the least bit of a superhero type of person but I swear, Heath Ledger in that movie made me watch Dark Knight over 5O times and still. To. This. Day. LOVE IT!
That man was a legendary actor in EVERY role he's ever played. The
I truly believe the reason the Joker movie we all love today with Joaquin-- just as legendary-- was able to be what it was. Breath made the Joker , THAT Joker. He made us see and want the Joaquin version movie of it. Butterfly 🦋 effect , i think. 😊 I hope Heath is at the peace he's earned. 💙🩵
Winners get more and more woke and PC
ОтветитьI hate to be that guy but the 21st century started on January 1st 2001.
ОтветитьMeh
ОтветитьI love acting.
ОтветитьI was hoping Rooney Mara would be a part of this for her character in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
ОтветитьCasey Affleck in Manchester By the Sea truly breaks my heart. I mean his performance broke me
ОтветитьThat “eat my sh*t” scene is AMAZING!!! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьYou should have just played the dark knight in its entirety before moving on the the next one and made it a 2 +hour video. Nobody would have cared
ОтветитьDidn't Jonah Hill win best supporting actor for 'Wolf of Wall street'?
ОтветитьOut of all these the winner 1st heath ledger ( when you see all the other actors performance just thinking that theyre acting takes away the magic of the performance but heath ledger as the joker no matter how much i see or listen how much i wanna convince myself that he's just acting i cant seem to the kind of insanity and mania his charecter is showing is masking the actor completely its terrifying i think the makeup plays a role in this coz i dint think itll have the same impact without the makeup ive seen the dark knight so many times and that scene where he claps inside the jail cell looking at us the veiwer its genuinely terrifying
ОтветитьNathalie Portman portrayal in Black Swan was absolutely mind blowing.
ОтветитьJulia Roberts won solely due to politics.
Burstyn's performance in Requiem For a Dream was phenomenal and by far better than the actual winner.
Casey affleck... what a performance
ОтветитьGreat video, but you could’ve used better clips for some of them.
ОтветитьHighly recommend to watch this in 2x speed for the best experience

ОтветитьMarion Cotillard as Edith Piaf was so gooooood! I named my dog after Marcel haha
ОтветитьRami Malek is an an excellent actor but did not deserve the oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody. That film didn't deserve any oscar awards it's a dime a dozen generic biopic for casual fans with an inflated budget. It was tampered and ruined to be fit for the masses because the living band members didn't want to produce a true & honest R-Rated film of their history. Love & Mercy is a far superior biopic and the academy ignored it for whatever reason.
ОтветитьCate Blanchett's performance as a really unlikeable woman slowly going insane always breaks my heart. I watched that movie when I was quite young. I used to look at homeless, dirty people who talks to themselves with fear and disgust instead of empathy. Movies teach us stuff.
Ответитьfack oscar
ОтветитьI love how positive all the comments are. No one saying how one performance is bad or anything. This compilation just shows how incredible film is as a part of the human experience. All these films and performances bring our different yet similar experiences and perspectives from all of us and they should all be celebrated. This is why the actors and writers strikes are so important right now. These creatives have the right to demand more pay and respect from the studios so we can continue to receive this part of the human experience.
ОтветитьMahershala Ali as Juan has to be one of the best supporting roles in a movie. He solidified his character in the span of 30 minutes hell even lesser than that and then his absence throughout the rest of the movie is profoundly felt.
ОтветитьSo many non-US actors that are outstanding! Daniel Day-Lewis, Olivia Colman, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron, Kate Blanchett, Christopher Plummer, Helen Mirren, Marion Cottilard, Rachel Weisz, Lupita Nyong'o, Russell Crowe, and many more I forgot. I really like that they are getting an Oscar, despite the fact that they're not American.
Ответитьwhy are the first 10 so terrible to me (minus ltms) - am i old and cynical
Ответитьnorth american cinema (usa) is so boring watch sumn else
ОтветитьHeath ledger was the best one
ОтветитьThis kinda just shows that the Oscar's suck haha like these are good performances on a mainstream level but alot of them are really not that great.
ОтветитьLaura Dern has such amazing hair. She's gorgeous.
ОтветитьLupita merecía el premio a mejor actriz
ОтветитьJennifer Lawrence actúa muy mal, creo que los Oscar son cualquier cosa ahora 😒
ОтветитьD E N Z E LLLLLL & Forest Whittaker?? A genius
La vie en Rose too ?? What a movie. Heath Ledger’s performance was a revelation tbh and I don’t think Cate Blanchett’s skill is spoken about enough
Noticeable lack of performances from horror, sci-fi and fantasy films - yet is arguably a greater achievement in acting to create a convincing and engaging character in an intangible reality then it is to convince as a human in a human world. Discuss...
ОтветитьHonorable mentions for these awards in the last 23 years:
Jeff Bridges in True Grit (2010)
Daniel Kaluuya in Get Out (2017)
Denzel Washington in Flight (2012)
Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
Joaquin Phoenix in Walk the Line (2005)
Margot Robbie in I, Tonya (2017)
Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird (2017)
Cate Blanchett in Carol (2015)
Angelina Jolie in Changeling (2008)
Nick Nolte in Warrior (2011)
Djimon Honsou in Blood Diamond (2006)
Ian McKellen in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator (2000)
Eh. Most of these are non unique. Just actors playing the same character in hats too much like themselves - a personality easily accessible for them. But a few - Ledger, Monique, Simmons, Day Lewis, Davis, and Janey - do something more. They lose themselves entirely and only a new character remains. In everyone else I can’t help but see the actor.
Ответитьthe fact that margot robbie didn't win for i tonya still confuses me
ОтветитьMost of these are just when there characters acts out of rage or ego tistic
ОтветитьRami Malek sticks out like a sore thumb
Ответить
