Pamukkale Walking Tour, Türkiye, Summer 2022

Hi everyone,

We made this video walking at the travertine terraces in Pamukkale. The name means 'cotton castle' in Turkish and refers to the white colour which the mineral-rich water leaves when drying up and forming the thermal pools that this place is famous for. Even from far you can see the 'white mountain' that is now Pamukkale. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and is very popular with tourists from all over the world.
Pamukkale is located just outside the city of Denizli and there are minibuses running all day back and forth to transport the visitors. Many people wear bathing suits to bath in the mineral water which is supposed to have healing qualities.
Be aware that you have to take off your shoes to walk up and down the mountain and make sure you wear sun protection as the sun usually is very strong and you can easily get sunburned here.
