In a world full of people who headbutt trees, can little Keev possibly keep up?
Winner of Silver at the 2015 Edinboro Fall Film Festival.
Let me know in the comments btw if you'd like to see more adventures with Keev! ✨

Looking back on Keev! about eight years later as I write this, I can't remember why I never shared it publicly on Youtube when I finished it in 2015. It's (so far) the only film I've sent to a film festival, and to have it be not only selected but actually win an award was a total shock at the time. I had to make up a short speech in front of an audience and TV cameras, lol. I haven't had to worry about winning awards or accolades since then, but I still believe it could happen again someday.
My animation approach also began to change following this film, making this almost feel like a "last hurrah" for how I used to create animation. To have the old pipeline behind some of my more acclaimed videos reach its peak in a fully original production, which was the end goal for me with my creative output at the time, feels fitting. I wanted to make sure I shared this film asap if I ever returned to MarkandFlops, helping further mark the end of this chapter.
Keev! was also made using leftover tech programmed for another senior film concept I was working on called "Exposure". When it became too big of a production for me to complete by the deadline, I decided to start over and make something in about four months using some of the pieces I had. Keev's design was one I already made in a sketchbook around 2014 that I plucked out and reused for this, and the script was written in about forty minutes.
If this film looks familiar, you might have seen it on Newgrounds: it did fairly well on the site back in 2018, and I'm told still has its fans today! This film also got me on board both the Newgrounds Smash Bros Collab and Pencilmation, the latter of which I quietly and happily worked on as a full-time animator until 2021.
