Hi, I am trying this method & instead of making the skin blurred it’s changing the colour so it looks really muddy now?! What am I doing wrong I followed all the steps

This didn't work at all for me. It bosted the contrast but didn't work. I had to set the high pass filter to 1 and when I applied the gaussian blur it made it sharp again rather than smooth.

This only works under certain conditions. On many of my photos the instant you use 24 on the high pass filter everything turns bright red. Once you start painting it looks like you're painting red over everything.

i can't seem to get a good effect with this tutorial. I think i need to change the values of high pass filter and gaussian blur filter, but i can't seem to get an acceptable result. Maybe there is some kind of formula to calculate the ratio ?

Dear Umesh, may I ask or suggest you do an update on your videos about skin retouching and the differences between the method on this video and frequency separation. There are also different versions of frequency separation depending on the instructors. Would be nice to hear your expert advice as a summary of all methods and suggesting the way to go, pros and cons, etc, the usual thing. Thank you for all your work!

This did not work for me using Windows 11. The brush tool did nothing.
