I am writing this comment and have not seen the video yet, but I work in one of those evil grocery stores you talk about. Simple rule to avoid any tricks, have a complete list before you enter the store, buy only what is on the list, take said items to register, pay for all of them, leave the store. Now you have not been mind controlled in anyway.

The first time I went to Kroger as I picked up my groceries I wright down the price and total as I go so to not go over budget when the cashier totals me out I was $24.00 over budget found out if you don't get a card and give them your info your prices are higher. I told them to keep their groceries I'm going elsewhere. Im a privacy advocate I dont give info to be used as a test subject

I worked at a grocery store. You are buying packaging. We would open a big container of something and scoop it in to smaller containers. People would think we made it from scratch. The stuff in the hot case has been there for hours. Also beware of multiples. If it's 2 for $6 you may have to buy two. You may not get the reduced price on a single (Hello, Superstore). Also many have replaced the 'Buy One Get One" with "Buy Two Get One" so instead of have a 50% saving buying two, you get a 33% saving buying 3 and you are actually spending more.

Well. I've went along with all the BS they have done, but I refuse to spend hours of life trying to get the @$%$ kroger digital coupons.
Once I find a good store without digital coupons, I'll never be back to kroger.
Aldi is good, but not quite good enough to meet all my needs, but at least they don't have items which have overpriced and then offered at a reasonable price with a very burdensome digital coupon app.

I'm a pretty good shopper. I don't fall for these tactics

in uk didnt they have a ban on high sugar products on the main aisles? it's kinda dumb cos a lot of ppl wanna buy these products but cant easily buy anymore, also the sugar tax made chocolates, and drinks taste like absolute CRAP!!!!

Next time you're at a 15 items or less tell them to open more checkouts

They have been discontinued a lot of srore brands now to force you to buy more expensive products.

Metamucil and other prune laxatives on the checkout lane. Assistant saying hello and helping you select milk as soon as you walk in, produce in the back of the store off to the side so you dont have to walk through it, rice on the bottom shelf, flour on the top shelf,

I can get one buy one on anything in store lmao

WHAT ABOUT shrink-flation, you know same product, jacked up price and yet the BOX (size) is smaller. Like, customers surely would not notice their getting LESS product for a higher price. Total scam

Another thing is the lighting in the store is like like a casinoto make you stay longer Because you wouldn't remember what time it is

I'm glad for online grocery pickup. I can get just what I want/need. I ignore the "are you sure you have everything" screen by clicking NO very quickly. Then I go pick the stuff up...no more poor choices, I can take as much time as I need, stop do something else and come back later to finish. And no need to bring the kids who end up begging for stuff they didn't know they wanted until they saw it on the shelf

becareful the shores are like Casinos they use racks and display stuff near the check out like Casinos trucks the tourist with their slot machines.

Why they make the aisles so small? No matter where you go you're in someone's way. Makes me want toget out ASAP

As a Walmart employee I can confirm that this is actually very accurate. In fact the items at the cash register are called impulse merchandise

Stores constantly rearranging products to keep you in stores longer vs it been on this aisle for years ...what the hell .....or placing none clearance items on clearance shelves similar but price difference.....most people will eat the mistake price ....if you see mangers stocking shelves consumer beware .

I went to CVS yesterday and they wanted me to sign up for whatever rewards program. They said you'll get 10 extra bucks to shop at CVS every month. I skimmed through the flyer real quick and noticed it said for only 5 dollars a month. I asked her and she said yes but it pays for itself because we pay you 10 extra bucks a month. IDK something just doesn't seem right about it!!!

That tide detergent at Walgreens for 7.99 plus taxes. I always wait for when they have them on sale. I don't have space for hoarding.

Happy people spend more money? Maybe! I went to the store and the lady in front of me, rang up her notebooks for 50cents each. I wanted to go back, but been annoyed with the crowds, did I go back? No way!

Poor girl, man. She kept jumping. I thought he was going to grab it and reach it for her, but he grabs it for himself, and just leaves. SMH
