As a huge Nas fan this is very unfortunate to hear but I believe her because I was in an 18 year relationship with a narc. It’s devastating!

So if she filed for divorce at 7 months pregnant, why did she expect to go back “home” three months after the baby was born and surprised he stopped paying the mortgage. They both were initiating those fights, especially the fact (alcohol/weed) are involved, emotions are high, your mental is compromised. I believe what she said about his parenting. It was very obvious she manipulated parts of the story in her favor. Also, I will never be cool with anyone who doesn’t like my spouse. Screw that, you will never have one over my partner, we are one, period!! Overall, they both were VERY young, and had a lot of maturing to do and of course, women mature faster than men. She got there before he did. Today, I believe he is a better man and it is never too late to be a parent. Hopefully God sees them through.

I believe every damn word she says about the violence because she says basically she was not a victim she threw punches too and she owned her part. She openly says it was too much drinking and partying going on and people become very different when alcohol and drugs are involved. I don’t feel she’s making excuses but she’s discussing the reality surrounding the events occurring. The sad part is him not being there for their child. It’s a shame that nobody teaches these celebrities that are young how to handle all that comes with that life. Hitting each other is not an ok way to live or express anger.

As a former family law attorney, I've seen this kind of custody dispute far too many times and the truth is always in the middle. I've seen some of the most theatrical performances in court that were determined to be just that, a performance. Evidence over everything.

wow this was a very raw interview ..that narcissist shit and ppl blacking out and they get drunk and engaging in domestic violence is very real and hits home you try to protect these men but they be dark as hell and they go left dont even care who they hurt in the process.. Im glad Kelis told her story you can tell it was the truth Im sure there are 2 sides to every story but one thing is that you cant stop a parent from being a parent if they truly desire to be one so if he wanted to play an active role in his childs life I dont think she could stand in his way . A real mother ultimately wants what makes her child happy..period I hope he dont let too much time pass before he try to make things right with his son .Life is too short

People need to understand the science behind these crash and burn toxic relationships where people are intensely attracted to one another. This has to do with childhood trauma mostly and it happens to all people even celebrities. I respect when people don’t air dirty laundry in public but I also understand when people need to tell their sides of the story. These are two human beings at their core. We don’t get to pick sides because of gender or because we think we know them.

This was always the most interesting divorce i ever laid eyes on . While nas seems like a cool guy and people looked at Kelis as the opposite, we personally didn't know them and neither one would say who was at fault or admit they was the reason for a failed relationship. So that would always leave alot of questions

Sounds like she is a little controlling, as well. Child is spending time with his dad while her mother had a stroke. Why would she need Nas to bring their son back to her? Go take care of your mom! There’s nothing your child can do for your mom.
Dad wants to send insurance cards and she has a problem with that?!? Take the insurance cards whether you use them or not!
She doesn’t want to her son to go to dad’s for Thanksgiving because dad has no family and can’t cook…. She wanted to change the terms of dad’s weekend visitation because she forgot it was Easter, and refused to let the child leave unless dad agreed to the change. Really? Dad has just as much right to spend the holidays and visitations with the child however he chooses. I’m sorry, but she sounds like she thinks she should make all the decisions for THEIR child.

My son Dad 🥱 sounds similar I just can't be asked to insult him. U get to that point where its like whatever. You just see your child as your own because at the end of it they aren't there for their child. So why should you worry about them.

I am glad that she is finally speaking on her side. This whole time Nas had been bashing her after their split but never once has he told the messed up person he was in their relationship. So many times men bash the women that have moved on. Men please start taking responsibility for what you have played in a failed relationship.
