At the End I Feel a bit Blue ;-) Thank for sharing!
ОтветитьI love Charles Dance.
ОтветитьOh, Brother . . . talk about stealing Hitchcock.
ОтветитьVery well done. The atmospheric music is excellent and creates the perfect Film Noir mood.
ОтветитьAn early appearance by Mark Rylance!
ОтветитьTry "Skeleton in the cupboard", Tales of the Unexpected
ОтветитьWell, I wasnt happy with that ending at all - the sickos literally getting away with it all...
Ответитьtheme music is very reminiscent of Chinatown.

ОтветитьBBC needs to do an iPlayer boxset of Screen Two and Screen One.
So many great things they refuse to bring out of their archive.
They produced, so they must own them, so what's the problem?
Looks better as an older man
ОтветитьSeems interesting and Dance is always great. However, about 15 to 30 minutes in, I got the sense that the monsters who control our governments were up to something evil. It started hitting too close to home and giving me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, so I haven't continued watching. I know from first-hand experience that there can be no happy endings when you're in the crosshairs of those truly sick, all-powerful bastards.
ОтветитьCharles Dance is as good as Alan Rickman and Ian Gelder.
ОтветитьI Love Charles Dance Great actor 💙
ОтветитьThanks for posting these up. The BBC needs to put the Screen One and Screen Two dramas out on digital media(I know a few have been released on old media like "After Pilkington" and "Hotel du Lac").
This was quite a well done thriller. Great cast as well : Charles Dance, Phyllis Logan, Brian Glover, Anna Massey(nice nod to Hitchcock's "Frenzy" there). I liked the reference to "Rear Window" as well. The music score reminded me a lot of Jerry Goldsmith's one for "Chinatown".

Wonder what the political climate was back then in Italy. Got mixed up with some dodgy people murky underworld of ..Never mix politics with pleasure. Dont think Alexander walker he of the evening standard. News paper had his own show on television him being a film critic and all that .
