Reminds me of the case that Xerox had to deal with in terms of Patent Infringement.
Ответитьmy old boss and his two sons were escorted out in handcuffs after they decided not to pay a huge fab shop owning millions lol, good because they thought they owned everyone.
Ответитьhad a trucking company try to steal from me, law of course was useless. they stole around 4k, but i parked their truck for WEEKS. cost them 10k easily. what i don't understand with business related thieves like this is: "why don't they wanna make money like i do?" if they just wouldn't steal and drive me into the ground, we could both have been rich together. it was SUCH a great opportunity and they ruined it for nothing.
Ответитьi guess he was a shop(s) owner for "small machines"
and NOT
a "small shop" owner for machines
I'd be willing to bet if you had material sent your gonna make parts or loose a job
ОтветитьIf you put parts out you wouldn't have material
Ответить? FUNNY
ОтветитьThe greed of some companies & the people behind it.
ОтветитьCustomers who behave like this are pond life. Without my supply chain in the construction industry I am f**ked. Good suppliers need to make money. A supplier is out of business is no good to me whatsoever. Look after your suppliers!
Ответитьfight for workers
Ответить“Can’t afford to lose a customer like us”. - “Well, its my business - so I’ll take care of that, I know exactly what I can afford to lose”
ОтветитьYou guys are full of great stories…
ОтветитьI am completely dumbfounded. ive never seen this machining tech before. If someone from even a century or two ago saw this they would probably think its magic or some kind of mysterious work of a god or... something. idk but thats frickin mindblowing to me how they can make these parts. And that graphite... doohicky electrode? whatchamacallit... wow huh? how? aaaand my brain melted.
ОтветитьI worked for a residential builder, and apparently, the owner of the company was not paying the trades on time, one in particular. One morning, as I was working outside, eight to ten big tradesmen came up to me and demanded to be paid. Luckily, I had the phone with me, and I called my boss to see what was going on. He said he would look into it, and that satisfied the tradesmen, and they went back to work.
Later on, when my boss and I were alone working in the office trailer, I told him to have the owner pay his bills on time e cause I don’t want to be in that position again. Who know what those guys would have done.
Granted, it’s house building and not the machining trade, but the problems are the same.
Looks quite similar to the Edelbrock heads and intake on my Falcon LMAO.
ОтветитьI used to work for a company that used to use other companies as a budgeting tool. I was continually told don't pay this or that supplier as we don't have the money in the budget. Some companies were waiting months and months for payment for work that had been not only completed, but completed to an acknowledged high standard. Hated every minute I worked there.
Left and set up on my own for a couple of years until I retired, I told everyone that I worked for that you can get it cheaper elsewhere, possibly but unlikely get it done better somewhere else, but I was there and they would look back and think that they got a good job done and a fair price. I always got paid.
Well, guess what, that's why they have 60 billion.
Ответитьhappens all the time. dont let them tell you what to do with your company!
Ответитьdesign and build your own product . you own the machine you have the power .😊💪🦾
ОтветитьI'm thinking they wanted the company to go bankrupt so they could buy it out cheap.
ОтветитьMy lawyers didn't see fit to extract about half a million $$$ and the loss wiped out our company, we even privately lost everything. Such a nice way to treat a disabled person. And the industrialist is basking in the limelight
ОтветитьI’m in a totally different industry but have had some clients over the years that looked at staffing for some huge industrial companies. The contract and terms these companies push are ridiculous (net 120 payment terms, 90 day identification clauses for subjective assessment of work performance) customer walked from a big opportunity for good reasons. A couple months later once everything shut down due to COVID they were quite happy they didn’t have 90 days of receivables out there that the client could just walk away from without any legal recourse.
ОтветитьThe truth is that small companies fund bigger ones, we have to pay for our components COD or get entry level terms, 30 days or so, while the behemoths simply say 90 days and that's it. I once dropped a couple of components for Vought Aircraft because they were losing us thousands of dollars per part. You should have seen the looks on their faces!
ОтветитьI've worked for several small firms that had a very hard time getting paid by large customers, including especially government agencies.
At one point a major international bank told us, without notice or anything, that from today we'd get paid a THIRD LESS for any of our work, take it or leave it, you can't afford to lose our business so suck it up.
They were also always at least 6 months behind on their payments, which is sadly common in IT consultancy when dealing with much larger customers.
We went under a year later, not because of that contract but because our CEO emptied the company bank accounts and literally fled the country with a suitcase full of cash.
What an insanely misleading thumbnail thumbs down immediately
ОтветитьSounds like Lear.. They never want to pay and I would never do work for them. I was my old owner could have seen this. Even thought he was told many times he always bid way to low.. Yes he went out of business but now I have a great job at a much better place..
ОтветитьThis machine shop isn't small to me but what the hay! This story is like cup-a-soup in a log cabin, a fire roasting with snow flying, it just warmed my heart. WHERE IN THE HECK YOU AT? I APPRECIATE THE HEAVEN OUT OF BTW ATTITUDE. LORD JESUS. I HAVE 18 YEARS CNC, TOOL & DIE, PROGRAMMING, LEAD MAN ETC. RETIRED, BUT I'S DO PART TIME FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS DIGNITY, SELF REFLECTION, WORTH, AN ACTUAL HUMBLE LION THAT IS HUNGRY, like this company. It has been many a year since but in a month I'd be sharp enough, (used to own two storefronts for 8 years till the big D). MITSUI SEIKI, HAAS, MITSUBISHI, XLO TWIN PALLET, 2-3-4 AXIS VERT AND HORIZ., SMT SWEDTURN LATHE, KEARNEY TRECKER, CINCINNATI MILICRON'S TRANSFER LINES, GIDDINGS LEWIS, OKUMA, MORI SEIKI, THEN THOSE HURCO'S ( DON'T LIKE THEM ) Hallelujah
ОтветитьGood stuff!
ОтветитьHmmmmm. Titans against Goliath. Seems to be evenly matched.
Ответитьevry single video i see from this channel is them saying a customer is abusing them or something like that how many times is this gonna happen before you start thinking maybe theres something wrong with how we conduct our business
ОтветитьRight on! Here’s to another 50 more!
ОтветитьGod bless Yall
Ответить"ford" lol
ОтветитьThis happens every day in all Industries. Builders finance their Projects with the money they owe the sub trades on the job.
ОтветитьThis guy mentioning courage, but fails to mention the name of a huge company thats treating people wrong.. This dude needs more courage
ОтветитьProtect your employees and your employees will protect your bottom line.
ОтветитьBaloney video never happened
Ответитьnames or it didnt happen easy to make anything up for views
Ответитьford is that you?
ОтветитьThat was GM
ОтветитьLegal teams and contract terms. Something small companies can’t keep up with.
ОтветитьI no were your coming from I've been there 😢
ОтветитьApple’s archaic Purchase Order and Payment system used see suppliers paid 90+ days after the invoice was received. Okay if the supplier is Samsung, not okay if the supplier is a small independent “mom & pop” company. I ended up paying suppliers on my personal credit card just to get the parts we needed as the small suppliers rightly wouldn’t accept anything over 45 days. The other bullshit Apple would pull is demanding a discount from all suppliers, even on very low value, one off orders and get all pissy when the suppliers to them to Foxtrot Oscar.
Ответитьjust go back in there, collect your material and thats it.
ОтветитьAwesome video and fantastic advice. Don't make people bully you around.
ОтветитьCaterpillar?
ОтветитьI wonder if a class-action lawsuit could be filed against such company, including criminal charges for organized crime and racketeering, since they extort and intimidate all their vendors. This is no different than criminal mafia techniques.
ОтветитьThat's a great story. Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьWhen I opened my business almost 30 years ago, I never intended on being the cheapest guy on the block, but the best. I know the value of my experience and now have the reputation of the guy to get it done right the first time.
Bottom line
Customers appreciate quality workmanship !
