HG, MG, RG, PG - Which Gunpla Grade is Best For You?

I'm finally going to build my Perfect Grade Gundam Exia Lighting Version.

Is it smart for me (a beginner who has only bulged the entry grade kits) to buy and build the rg unicorn Gundam with no experience? I wanna know so I don’t ruin it if I try to build it.

I do have a few rg kits however I was gaving the mg eclipse Gundam which it was fun hobby lobby does have good sales and picked up the freedom 2.0 which looks great i do have the rg for it

HG/RG is to small imo. But still nice. MG is the perfect size

Would real grade be good to start with?

I want something bigger and detailed, but idk if perfect grade is best for a beginner

So when you say builders save up for years to buy a perfect grade kit (2-300 dollars) do you mean money? Or time.
300 seems pricey for plastic, but not breaking the bank. I mean just think about how much we spend on our computers and cameras.

My first HG kit was Strike Freedom. I hated it haha it put me off the HG line for years. It wasnt until I came across a HG RX-78GP01 at a local general model kit store a few years later decided to give it ago since it was so cheap (I had mostly been doing MG and a few of the seed 1/100 no grades) and really ended up enjoying that kit so gave other HG's a shot

I only have one perfect grade, but dear god is it a cool desk centerpiece

I own a couple of Master grade kits, had no experience at he moment, made some mistakes, still, no regrets! Apart from Gundams, got 3 Zoids.

My fav grade is MG due i have problem with my eye sight😢

Hg nowdays was damn good,just look at entire witch from mercury hg series,all of them nicely done

I just started my first RG Tallgeese and I’m glad I started here. I was going between MG and RG, wish I found you video first, and picked RG. MG is my next build for sure! I’m hooked

RG is still my favourite due to its size and level of details plus parts separation. Although I don't have all the RG kits, I can assure you that RG kits doesn't have polycaps (I have all the first 10 kits in the series except for aeug MK2 and the subsequent ones are based on my likings). I think RG are much harder to assemble but no matter how experience you are, you can still screw things up like how I broke the waist part of mg zeta 2.0 but built the RG version perfectly LOL

If gundams cost their normal price in India, I'd be buying 10 at a time. Shipping and customs costs more than 1 unit in most cases. And you better get ready if the box has something like "Kill" on the box, that's extra

Master Grade due to its size and detail.

First Gunpla was Real Grade and looking at others after that experience, it baffles me how few Real Grade Gunpla there is, sure it's more expensive, but it feels robust, detailed, high quality and even though its not an action figure it feels good to hold, whereas I tried an MG and while trying to pose it the arms and legs slip off. The level of detailing IMO is a large increase which validates the price
