This just doesn't match what we're actually experiencing on Instagram though. Regularly posting good quality content that ticks all those boxes does not equal reach. It just doesn't 🤷🏼‍♀️ There's another barrier that's not being mentioned. I think it's that IG is currently favoring a select few accounts who are most likely to generate income because of how the introduction of reels affected Meta's ad revenue. The rest are thrown into the void. I personally see my own posts start off like fire with engagement and then suddenly die within a couple hours like they've been deleted. All my viewer's story reposts are suddenly gone within an hour of being posted. I have always had excellent reach and engagement until now, and what you're saying just doesn't match reality for a vast number of users 🤷🏼‍♀️ Can you maybe talk about this so we'd know what to do about it?

I run a fan page and have 4.7k followers which were all grown organically. I’ve been on the explore page multiple times, my top post has over 20k likes. I went inactive for a long time and now I’m questioning whether or not I should keep going with this page. My posts only get around 100 likes now and don’t even reach 10% of my followers anymore…

The part about the content not hitting like it used to is what I honed in on. There's a lot of content creators that are also conspiracy "theorists" that refuse to accept that their content only had a limited shelf life to begin with, and that they were going to have to come up with new ideas eventually. They got so used to being able to just keep putting out the same slop week after week. Also, for FB, I found a way around ads that got me likes without having to buy any sponsored content. Nobody gave me a strike for it.

Instagram getting rid of recents tab made things worse
I recently started graphic designing and editing and after the first 2 or 3 posts, my reach went downhill... not even 10 likes. Ive tried pisting daily, every 2 days but nothing works, not even hashtags

It’s easy to understand how algorithm works but it is still hard to keep up with algorithm 😢. I feel like rn you have to spend money to make sure your contents get views.

I ruiend my account by NOT only follow people in or close to my NICHE. Now I have to start removing follower's and unfollowing's. The rythem is incorrecr tired of telling IG NOT interested non stop

Im experiencing one day I'll get 100+ likes and the next day I'll get 10. Only been happening the past few weeks.

I see that they are deliberately not showing unpaid accounts.

I started interacting with small music accounts and now the algorithm gives me more of those accounts. But I still see a huge problem where mostly established creators are Primarily the only ones getting pushed out

IG punishes you if you're not on the app or "engagement." My Reels were doing very well previously, then I got sick and was off IG for 4 weeks. Now my Reels don't even get 1k views, and I'm a niche that posts the same content.

The old algorithm was better. I used to run multiple accounts and it was pretty straightforward on how to grow an account now it's like you can have a few thousand followers and you'll never show up for anyone
