I just picked up a 5ft Ficus Tineke in Tesco for £20. Absolute bargain
ОтветитьI found my Hoya krimson Queen online in a 5 or 6 inch pot for about 25 dollars or so? Definitely not over that.
ОтветитьThe tineke comes in pink, there is a ruby or Belize that are pink variegated rubber tree
ОтветитьI got a crimson princess and crimson queen hoyas, I potted them up together to save space. Looks great
Ответить4 in. Pot $12.00
ОтветитьHey Kaylee, love your vids. I thought the Silver Satin Pothos/ Silvery Anne etc were Scindapsus not Pothos....am I wrong? I would like clarification since the care is slightly different. Would love to know...thanks😀
ОтветитьFound a 8” Syngonium albo at Lowes for $14.98 in the clearance section in Georgia 🇺🇸!
ОтветитьI soooo want a variagated Burle Marx!!!
ОтветитьIf you're in Australia looking for an NJoy/glacier look for a Snowqueen. Technically same looking plant. It's confusing but will help you so much when looking for them!
I own both and they're both absolutely stunning. My Marble queen is HUGE and now taking over my desk 🤣 don't underestimate a beginner/common plant as they're just beautiful. Infact they can sometimes be hard to find because collectors tend to skip over them but trust me, they're fantastic.
of all the common variegated affordable plants I've got, variegated Peace Lily is also one of my favorites
ОтветитьIn india ..we used to prune off variegation thinking its a defect ...lolz
ОтветитьI’m sorry I know you’re trying to explain variation but explaining it in reference to the marble queen in the end Joy just doesn’t make any sense to say that the android grows slower because it has more variation and while I totally understand this concept maybe you should use a different reference picture then because from the picture you’re showing it most definitely looks like the marble queen has a lot more variegation than the njoy in the photo you have used
Ответитьit always cracks me up when she says how hot or sexy a plant is 😂 she's not wrong, great video
Ответить👏🏻👏🏻😊
ОтветитьTradescantia - i managed to kill mine pretty quickly. It just rotted. Im still salty, bechause its beautiful. I just have been afraid to try again bechause im still not sure what i did wrong
ОтветитьI got marble njoy jade and golden pothos
ОтветитьBurle Marx is new to my collection 5 months and is now I think my favorite plant. Easiest philadendron-grows like crazy and impossible to kill with over or under watering!
ОтветитьI had a Syngonium Albo growing beautifully on a moss stick. Over time it lost its varigations . I don't know how to get back varigations.
ОтветитьMy Brasil is fantastic 😍
ОтветитьIm obsessed with my Marble Queen. One of my favorites.
ОтветитьHey Kaylee, Tineke is een Dutch women's name, it's pronounced teen-uh-kuh! Hopefully that helps with pronouncing ☺️
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьI have 4 Calathea White Fusions and I totally agree! On the bright side I love them because they talk to you on how they’re doing
ОтветитьYou didn’t include Stromanthe triostar! That is the most gorgeous variegated plant in my opinion.
ОтветитьI'm from Ecuador and I lived there almost my whole life. I was able to find relatively "rare" plants for very cheap but I couldn't for the life of me find a Philodendron brasil 😅
ОтветитьLoved this video
Ответитьmy syngonium albo pops out on completely green leaf and then an extremely minty white leaf, and so on, i got it as a one leaf cutting and ever since then it’s done this pattern.
ОтветитьI love your videos on rare plants, but I love your videos on common plants even more. I am just learning plants, and I'm starting my collection with the indestructibles.... snake plants, ZZ plants, and pothos to start. My next step would be rubber trees, dragon trees, and Chinese evergreens. I have a long way to go before I'd consider dropping cash on a really valuable plant, so these videos are much more approachable for me!
ОтветитьTineke not tenekee
ОтветитьCalathea white fusion is the devils plant…
Ответитьthe syngonium albo was at my local plant store for 20€ for a 4 leaf bb, but i got mine via a plant trade so honestly yeah they're hella affordable now, they've become just as findable as black velvets and dragon scales
Ответитьthe syngonium albo was at my local plant store for 20€ for a 4 leaf bb
ОтветитьLong time lurker, first time commenter… absolutely love your content, by the way!
I just wanted to mention that the Silvery Ann is actually not a Pothos but in fact a Scindapsus. They are visually similar but they require different care.😊
You should talk about the rattlesnake calathea and silver sword philodendron
ОтветитьAffordable is a better word than Common
ОтветитьGreat
Everyone needs a budget
Thanks
I got a full 6 inch pot of syngonium albo pre-pandemic for $50 which was an absolute steel at the time (for context I bought a 3 leaf rooted cutting the week prior for $35). It grow like a weed. The full pot that I bought is more like a bush now and is in a huge pot.
ОтветитьSo glad you're also talking about common plants, I love your content and hearing about the "special" plants, but I don't see myself ever getting them (our collection is more orchid and cacti/succulent focused). LOVED this video!
ОтветитьI cant for life of me understand how people like any sort of ficus, Tradescantia or those hideous white fusion calatheas. 🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьOmg okay I've never like the birken....but hot damn 😍 that one has that front heart shaped leaf. If they could make a cultivar of the birken that has squat leaves like that one in the pic I'd PAY 💲 💵 💸 💰 🤑
ОтветитьThe queen wears the crown, the princess wears the gown”
ОтветитьI have 3 different tradescantia. Nanouk, zebrina, and pink panther. The pink panther I bought for 4 dollars in a tiny 2 inch pot. It is the cutest plant! I find it's more pink than the Nanouk.
ОтветитьCan you tell me what you mean by big box store? I'm in the UK btw if that makes a difference
ОтветитьI got a good deal on a White Fusion however the stupid delivery guy chucked her into an ice cold puddled in front of my door - the box she came in was not meant to protect from the elements. I've spent a few months nursing her back to health and she's finally sending up a new leaf but dang it that hurt. Still my favorite plant :)
ОтветитьCan we get a Vid on variegation and how it works? Why are mints more? I thought it was less variegation... anyway.. can you teach us how it works and what to REALLY look for when shopping, and all the silly names when people are talking about a plants jenes and why they are asking 2k instead of 200..
Please.
You can find Syngonium Albo in the States for 13 to 30 dollars . So very affordable and still just as beautiful !!
Thanks for the tip!
I effing love this video! I have always enjoyed your experience and personal testing with what I call fancy plants. This video really was awesome to hear your opinion on currently the more common house plants at least in tbe US. So entertaining as usual!
ОтветитьMy albo variegata syngonium isn't growing for me at all
ОтветитьHi Kaylee , i love watching ur videos, what about the 2022 trends?
Ответить
