Eva, undoubtedly the best Biriyani in the subcontinent can be found in Old city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. With the patronizations from the Mughals and the Nawabs the old Dhakaiyans have taken the Biriyani cooking to a different level over a period of 200 years or so. The best part of our Biriyani is the local aromatic rice not the Bashmati. Kachchi biriyani of old Dhaka is unparalleled.

There are about 700 types of Bryanis in the world. Each different in content and taste. My favorite is Sindhi, with mutton and potatoes!
