They invested heavily in EV's then they passed the so called bill which included $7,500 to those purchasing Ev's.Pelosi made $100M during her time so far in the house, this is called insider trading illegal for us but somehow legal for them. Now they are making laws banning gas vehicles/equipment even though not everyone wants electric or can afford them. Look at the money($50, 000, 000, 000 and counting) spent on illegals(10, 000, 000 people and counting) and will need to be paid for by someone(inflation), how is a young family supposed to buy a new electric car? We own 2 hybrids(one plug-in)

In Australia, we have some roads that have no Gas for 500miles, can't possibly begin to imagine taking an Ev out there. At least we can carry gallons of Gas. This is a real issue which needs solving, not good enough at the moment.

You could have purchased a 20kw gas generator with a 50 gallon saddle tank installed in the bed and then you would have a hybrid like Toyota , however you still may need to purchase a large, long cord.😊

Unacceptable. don't say it was fun and a good truck if you dump it after 24 weeks. It was a poor value. It was a frustrating owner experience. FORD refused to listen to you. To have a clunky app and poor charging abilities in 2024 is beyond unacceptable and especially at this price point. FAIL.

With all due respect, I believe you are in denial. Call the Ford Lightning EV for what it is: Garbage. Very expensive electrified garbage. You know why those charging stations spaces are so small? they were made with city dwelling work commute, tiny EV's in mind. Not for massive EV Pickup Trucks that can't even "Pickup Truck". You sold your truck for 80k at a loss. From my point of view, (Average Joe speaking here) I would've used that money to outright purchase not one, but two fully loaded Maverick Hybrids. At least you can park them everywhere and can do a little bit of "pickup trucking". You are right. The EV industry still needs a lot of growing up to do. Right now, again from my point of view, considering exchanging my 1997 Ford Ranger V6 for a 2023 Lightning EV would be a laughable proposition. A $100k 2023 EV outranged by a 27 year old relic.
