I’ve experienced a few storms like these, not as bad as some but some I either should not have been out in or it was just my luck to be able to experience them! Funniest one are the ones in states where they are not used to having iced roads or snow storms! Just us common sense!

It's shocking the number of people who don't at least have quality all-season tires on. If you live in an area that routinely gets below 46ºF consider actual snow tires. That's where their traction advantage even on bare cold roads starts to maximize. Keep them on their own rims so you can change them out yourself, or a shop can do it in 15 minutes. Chances are your vehicle is going to go through at least 2 sets of tires in its life. Why not have the snow tires for a bit of added safety -- that pays off big if there is actual snow and ice?

If you get covered in snow out there, No one will ever find you. That makes me cold just looking at it.

Bah! This is nothing. It's everyday life in Sweden. If American learned to work with nature instead of against it, it would make things easier for them.

Greatest thing about driving out west. It gets too bad out there, they shut down the highways and no one can drive. Go DOT. They keep the highways safe.

I don't feel one bit sorry for them; any of them. Anyone with half a brain would be home until the roads are clear. No place and no one is that important that a driver has to be driving in these conditions. I hope the insurance companies get smart and refuse to pay out when drivers drive in these conditions. It was a choice to go; when one could have not gone. Stupid, and retarded are they.
