Extremely bright and extremely analytical speakers. I had the Sopras for 4 years and luckily I sold them. I simply couldn’t stand them anymore as my ears kept bleeding.

Growing up my favorite speakers were the klipsch horns. 58 years later my favorite is still the klipsch horns.
For those who want clean efficient pure sound. Those who want to listen to rock, opera, Liberace on piano, Pavarotti or hauser on cello the klipsch horns preform spectacular. Yes they're big. Yes they look out dated. Yes they take up room. Yes they preform in a corner. But your ears are never Pierced or delayed. It's like you are in lock step with a marching band hearing ever pure note.
Those who hate the horns are those who have Inferior equipment or a small room.
In the 1970s I listened to my first pair of horns playing music off of a reel to reel. I soon noticed everywhere I went whether it was a movie theater or church or party there was klipsch speakers. With all the technology today focal is the leader in sound and right there with klipsch. And coming from a hard critic like me that's a high compliment.
Everyone can try to put lip stick on a pig to impress someone with its looks and add a huge price tag. But when you close your eyes and listen that's when you know the difference. Thanks for a great channel.

Most good music played with these speakers was recorded with old studio gear from back the days so I don‘t get the point.

One of the most overpriced brands out there. There are a ton of other options available out there just as good if not better for much less money.

Wow, what a way to make money. I'm still happy with my home made speakers that I threw together 42 years ago. They also bring the band right into my living room. The total cost for the two was a massive massive massive $275 dollars. They each contain one 15" woofer, two midrange, and four tweeters. See imgur . com/a/VIARZn5 ( Remove Spaces ) The only thing I have had to do over the years was replace the outer foam ring on each of the 15" woofers, since the old foam had turned to dust due to age. Those two woofer rebuilds cost me a massive $27.00 for new rings and glue. But they did get me into trouble. My landlord sent me a notice of kicking me out of my apartment due to load music. I reduced sound level in my apartment to less than 50db for many months. Even my landline phone was disconnected. All sounds were now relayed though my old Sony headphones. They now had no excuse to throw me out. It worked. Now my speakers are up and going again.

Thats a pair of the ugliest speakers I have seen in my life.

I'm sorry but $230K speakers made of MDF or HDF just doesn't seem right to me. MDF & HDF are essentially different forms of particle board! For an MSRP of $230K I would at least expect the speaker enclosures to use advanced hi tech materials used by other hi end speaker manufacturers, (Wilson, Vandersteen, YG, Magico, Rockport, etc.)

The one thing that I don't like about most Focal speakers. Is that they don't do bass very well. Even with powerful amplifiers. I kinda understand why they do that. But it does take away from the full range listening presentation.

If you liked these MDF board speakers...Take a look at YG acoustics the cabinets are all CNC machined t6 aluminum and so is the driver! Made ion the USA in Colorado. I bought a pair.

Hand cnc made😜. They’re great speakers. A bit of a click bait video, but there was some footage. I’m a little surprised they paint right on the mdf without a fiberglass or composite overlay. I wonder if I could copy them. That would be like an old friend of mine that kept refilling his crystal champagne bottle with cheap crap to impress girls. That’s about as close as I’d get to copying them, just the case😳

Got their speakers in the car and some 701s and they sound great!!!

Sorry but that was painful to watch. Nothing new and informative. Just a brand promotion. Good video production that's what I'd give you and that's what Focal's paid for.
