Best & Worst Drugstore Makeup of 2023

Hi Tati! In 1 of your videos you recommended the new Maybelline Surreal mascara - the regular not waterproof. You weren’t kidding - this mascara makes my lashes look amazing. However, like you also said - the regular is harder to get off than the waterproof. I have tried so many different things to get this mascara off but no matter what I use, I lose lashes and my eyes get irritated. Do you have a suggestion for a good remover?

I recently bought a European version of the True Match, not sure if it's the same formula, but it sadly accentuated any dry patches I had on my skin. Not a huge fan of that, although it was really nice apart from that!

Tati what can I do about oxidation? I have real struggles with make up it changes color almost instantly with me. Ive taken steps to color correct my uneven tones but I still get oxidation. 🙄

I love mist catrice makeup! I have most of the eyeshadow palettes! The bronzer stick is amazing! The under eyes highlight is great and the makeup foundation and concealer is great!

I have the purple version of the eyeshadow. I got it from the dollar tree it’s just like the ones you had in your hand with about 10 colors.

I love Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. I remember I had it on at Six Flags once, went on a water ride where I got soaked PLUS sweated all day and it was STILL there. It is good stuff!

That said I personally like the hard candy setting spray it works great for me! But that’s okay if it doesn’t work great for someone else

Re Navy liner at the drugstore... One of my surprise hits of 23 was the elf liquid liner in midnight (navy). I got it on red tag clearance, which is a great way to try new types of shadows & liners, and WOW! The brush was cut wrong so I had to do a blunt trim to use it, but I typically use the brush along the long side, rather than using just the tip. Looks like they changed the bottle to navy (they used light grey for some reason), and it really does brighten the eyes - I love it when I want a fresh, crisp look. My eyes are shaded, hooded & behind strong glasses so everyone else sees a "monet" version of what I create, and it's almost impossible to tell blue from black from brown on my eyes, but it makes ME feel crisp & fresh. Lol now I'm just sad, I'm on a no-eyemakeup month for dermatological reasons (all my own fault too) 😢. Wearing no eye makeup but did some heavy coverage elsewhere, but forgot to use foundation, so built full coverage on top of tinted moisturizer. I'm a not-so-hot mess, just gonna pop on a beanie and wear a bright lip, there's no fixing this lol....

Glitter warning: Ive got to do "sober from eye makeup" January, in part because of too many glitters and shimmers in the eye area. I dont have an eye infection thankfully, but ive damaged my eye area and upper cheeks (actives), including inflaming my under eye wrinkles! I looooove sparklies so it's going to be a loooong month. Ive had 3 flareups since late Nov tho, a full month is needed to recuperate. Im just glad i know when to reset my skin and not try just piling on coverage.
