Are there plans for a manual swap?
Ответитьwell you got ripped my bro 23 year car really! spending that much money on it. But thats your choice
ОтветитьSheers to your M3 Build, I just bought a 03 for 15k with 142,000 Miles. Still needs work done though. Leaking minor oil and some cosmetic fixtures.
ОтветитьThat’s a steal lol I’ll be spending almost double by the time I finish rebuilding mine😭
ОтветитьCool car and I want one, I found one with 33,000 miles for $50,000 super clean and I guess can just get this car and avoid any problems.
ОтветитьAwesome video! Much appreciated and love to hear about other folks with SMG! Quick questions:
1. Is your SMG pump and clutch original? 180k is super long so Awesome to hear they can last that long! I love my SMG but assume I'm have to convert at some point. I've heard people can get insane milage on smg clutches too (like 130k on original clutch)
2. We're you on original rod bearings at that milage? Mine is 2005 with 95k and original rod bearings. Getting it blackstone tested and everyone freaks out about the rod bearings but curious how long yours actually lasted.
3. Does the CSL SMG tune prevent you from engine breaking if you are in a low gear going down hill? My understanding is it prevents the annoying stock engine brake that happens when it auto downshifts but I also love going into the Santa monica mountains and definitely still want that ability to engine brake when I'm on prolonged down hill treks coming out of the mountain.
4. Ever have any issues with clutch shudder / slip when going from a stop in 1st gear? I had those issues but basically cured it by using a DIS/GT1 emulator which was amazing.
Cant wait to get mine
ОтветитьI like the approach. Find a car that needs work and get the key trouble spots taken care of yourself. Nicely done. Super impressed with the trunk respray in your garage. That’s one thing I could never have the confidence to do.
ОтветитьExcellent video and price breakdown.
ОтветитьI have a 323i sedan that has a M3 GTR front bumper (non widebody) AC Scnnitzer spoiler with a M3 GTR (Non widebody) vented rear bumper, LED tail lights and headlights and all other lights on and in side of the car. A M3 hood, AFE red air scoop and cold air intake. Rohana RC10 Rim size is 19x8.5, Lug pattern is 5x120 and hub bore is 72.5 with a flush fitment of 35+ offset for that aggressive look all in gun metal with chrome lip all on Megan racing coil overs. It looks a bit just like the M3 GTR, but without the widebody and big wing on it. It looks more like the road version of the M3 GTR which is the goal I wanted it to resemble and it was expensive doing so.
ОтветитьThis prove e46 m3 owner are poor
ОтветитьSounds like a pretty fair deal for a very good car given where their prices are going. It will be harder to find ones in good shape and in a few years; these cars will be considered historic.
ОтветитьI do all my own work. I buy parts at deep discounts. My aging 2005 takes a LOT of my money to keep it on the road as a daily driver. But, it runs GREATTTTT!!!!!! Better than when it was showroom new.
ОтветитьLooking good!
But…don’t use Royal Purple. Doesn’t have enough friction modifier in it so the diff is going to start making noises.
No big deal. OE SAF-XJ fluid is the best, an synthetic GL5 75w-140 with friction modifier works (Redline, Motul, Lucas).
White americans buy shitty nissan and toyotas and spend tons of money on those shitboxes. Chang immigrant living in American buys BMW master race . Chang has more brain than the average american
Ответитьlol i got an 02 325i for 1500 bc the AC was out, gonna spend another 1600 fixing body and ac . still worth
Ответитьhow much can this 2002 guy cost now new 00km?
ОтветитьI wish I can find one for 12.5 k, they go for 20 near me
ОтветитьIn no way shape or form is an E46 M3 going to ever cost 12,500 bucks in the EU. I wish I could take on a project like this at such a low entry.
Ответитьvery nice
ОтветитьSolid vid
ОтветитьM3 goes vvvvvvrrrrmmmmmm
