Like you, I did very poorly in undergrad. However, I returned to undergrad about 5 years later, worked very hard, got a second BA degree and graduated with a very good GPA. Is this experience something that I should explain in my Statement of Purpose or Personal History essays? Or is it something that will explain itself through my transcripts? I'm proud of the work I've done but I'm so nervous about saying the wrong thing (or omitting the wrong thing!) in my entrance essays.

Finally found a video that I can relate to. Hearing you say that you had a second class lower and got admitted for graduate school has given me hope. I had a Second class lower in Biotechnology from a university in Kenya and am in the process of applying for a masters in Europe. I have volunteered as a lab tech for nearly a year.
Thanks for giving hope to those that haven't done well in their undergraduate like me.

when did you email profs in relation to when you submitted your apps/when the program starts? for example, right now its june 2020 and I hope to get into a Fall 2021 program. I plan to start applications soon and submit most by the end of the year. Should I email now? I dont want to get jumbled with the Fall 2020 students..or get lost in emails b/c of the current climate of the U.S/world? lmao
